I share a recipe for a light chocolate tincture that won my wife over on March 8

A wonderful women’s holiday this year almost became a cause of contention between me and my wife. A few days before March 8, she began to pout and make claims to me. The essence of the reproaches is that, as usual, I will give her the usual gift set – flowers, chocolate and some other standard nonsense.

I confess that my woman hit the mark – a small similar present had already been prepared. But after her words, I wanted to surprise my wife with something. I thought for a long time and began to remember what she loves.

Chocolates and light “feminine” spirits. I decided to experiment and make my own delicious tincture on chocolates for my beloved.

The story was shared by blog subscriber Valery.

What ingredients and equipment will be needed

I liked this particular recipe, because I don’t have to bother with special equipment. It is enough to have an ordinary kitchen pan and a glass jar on hand. I also recommend finding a beautiful bottle for the finished tincture.

This is a gift I originally planned to order for my wife. Who cares – one such chocolate box would cost me 6700 rubles!

The ingredients are also simple and inexpensive. Everything can be bought at the nearest supermarket:

  • chocolates “Mask” – 100 gr. (I bought a package of 250 grams in Pyaterochka for 90 rubles);
  • vodka “Talka” – 0,25 l (bought in “Red & White” for 143 rubles);
  • sugar – 3 teaspoons (I paid 1 rubles for 46 kilogram);
  • vanillin – at the tip of a knife (a bag costs 5 rubles);
  • powder spices of cinnamon and cloves – both on the tip of a knife (for 2 bags I paid about 50 rubles).

Spices and vanillin are optional ingredients in the preparation of tincture. But I recommend adding them. Even a minimal amount of them will make the aroma and taste unique.

It makes no sense to take the most expensive vodka, since the emphasis is not on it. In addition, the taste of chocolate will smooth out the shortcomings of cheap alcohol. But the quality of sweets must be given close attention.

The composition should not contain an abundance of dyes and flavors. Also, chocolates should be taken strictly without exotic fillings.

I paid only 90 rubles for such a package! Sweets from childhood, excellent quality and great taste – the best choice for tincture.

The cooking process

I collect water in a pot. I unfold the sweets, put them in a water bath for 10-15 minutes. You should get a liquid chocolate mass of medium density.

When the sweets are melted to such a consistency, it’s time to add them to the future tincture.

I pour vodka into a glass jar. Then I pour the melted chocolates into it. I add sugar, vanilla, spices.

At this stage, it is very important to thoroughly mix all the ingredients. Before closing the jar, you need to make sure that you get a homogeneous mixture. No lumps!

I tightly close the jar, put it in the refrigerator. The minimum infusion time is 12 hours. If possible, it is better to keep the tincture in the cold for as long as possible. Preferably up to 3 days.

What will be the result

It turned out to be a very interesting tincture. It is dark brown in color, uneven in texture, reminiscent of expensive imported liquors. Kept in the refrigerator for several days. During this time, my creation stratified into 2 parts – a thick chocolate base on the bottom and vodka tinted with sweets on top.

Important! It must be shaken before use.

The aroma is complex, but pleasant, sweetish vanilla. Alcohol is absolutely not felt in the taste, but a chocolate aftertaste with hints of spices can be traced. Not a sweet tincture. But obviously not for regular drinking in large quantities.

My chocolate tincture.

I am satisfied with the result – it turned out to be a very high-quality female liquor. Yes, and at a cost all within reason. I spent 334 rubles on the purchase of all the ingredients (moreover, sweets, sugar, vanillin and spices remained in stock). Good price for 0,3 liters of tincture.

How to serve and with what to use tincture

Before pouring the tincture into glasses or piles, I remind you once again that you need to shake the bottle well. This will help the two parts of the drink merge into one whole composition.

It is not worth using tincture without snacks. Despite the pleasant chocolate-vanilla taste, do not forget about the presence of vodka in the composition! Ideal with nuts, orange slices, grapefruit, mango, small pastry desserts (eg mini eclairs).

Chocolate tincture is best served with fruits or berries. I preferred prunes.

I do not advise you to eat chocolate tincture. The taste of the tincture and such a snack will be too monotonous. It is better to please the taste buds with a more complex combination.

My wife was very pleased with such an unusual gift, moreover, made with her own hands. Although I was afraid that she would disapprove of alcohol as a present.

I would like to ask your opinion (especially girls) – is it worth continuing to experiment with similar alcoholic surprises for a woman, or does it look like bad manners? It will also be interesting to read your recipes for sweet tinctures. Maybe I’ll find something for myself among them.

Dear readers, remember that alcohol abuse harms your body. Take care of yourself!
