“I’m sorry I was with your husband”: the story of one gift from a mistress

As it usually happens: the wife and mistress find out about each other’s existence and spin the wheel of hatred. It is not the traitor who is to blame, but the “rival” who interferes with someone else’s happiness. But it seems that this tradition is outdated, because women are increasingly united with each other. So it happened with friends in misfortune from Glasgow.

On the anniversary of her departure from her husband, Elizabeth Lindsey received an unusual gift – a cookie sent by his former lover. And everything is amazing in it: both the sender and the content.

In the video that the girl posted on TikTok, you can see curly cookies, each of which has its own meaning. So, one is the hand of the woman holding the phone. It says, “You’re so suspicious.”

According to Elizabeth, this phrase is a reference to her husband’s behavior: “The night I caught him cheating, I finally learned the truth and talked to that girl. My husband caught me during this conversation, started pushing me out the door, shouting and calling me suspicious. So which one of us is suspicious?

The other cookie features a rose, which is especially important because these are Lindsey’s favorite flowers: “She knows I love roses, so she wrote here: ‘Sorry for sleeping with your husband.’ It’s just great.”

The third can be safely called a symbol of female mutual support: it depicts Elizabeth and Stephanie (husband’s mistress) with the inscription “sisters” on their jackets. And they show middle fingers to what is behind them. Most likely, men like their ex.

While Stephanie came up with the idea for the gift, she’s not responsible for the execution. A company that creates all kinds of cookies came to the rescue: they usually have a two-month waiting list, but as soon as they heard the girls’ story, they immediately wanted to help.

In the comments to a post where the firm shared photos of the completed order, Stephanie explained why she chose to give the cookie: “He gave me a beautiful lollipop, which turned out to be one of their wedding gifts. And he told me that he bought it in the market. So I decided to give Elizabeth some food in return.”

Stephanie suffered no less than Elizabeth: she did not know that her man had a wife, did not even know his real name and was abused by him. Therefore, it is not surprising that a common offense rallied them: some time after the phone conversation, the girls met, and, judging by the video from Elizabeth’s TikTok, they became close friends.
