How sometimes 15 minutes of rest is not enough! If you don’t have a rest, then at least cook the soup, wash the floor or do something else “household”, and so that at this time your beloved child does not spin under your feet and does not require to play together.
Children quickly get bored with toys, so it will come in handy to know other simple and at the same time useful ways to keep your child busy. We offer moms a list of fun things to do that will absorb your little ones for a while. However, not for long. But maybe this is just those magical five minutes that you are missing right now?
1. Pour semolina on the table or on a wide plate – let the kid draw on it with his finger. Not as interesting as spreading porridge, but not bad either.
2. Shouldn’t we make a hedgehog? It’s just time for them to wake up from hibernation. Give the child an apple or a potato and have them stick “needles” – matches or toothpicks – into it.
3. Let’s play Cinderella: mix peas, beans, pasta, some other little thing. For trying to separate one from the other – sincere applause. Then we pour the inventory back into a bag, jar or tin – it will come in handy again.
4. Develop fine motor skills. At the same time – mischief, but not dirty trick. Give your child clothespins – let them cling to the edge of a saucepan, bucket or tablecloth.
5. Batman’s Five Minutes. We make a mask from scrap materials. From a napkin, for example. You need to tear off pieces from it so that you get holes for the eyes, nose, mouth.
6. Let’s paint … fig. Or salt. It’s very simple: you need to pour cereal or salt into a glass, add gouache and mix thoroughly with a brush. It will turn out to be an excellent craft blank. For example, you can sprinkle colored salt and cereals in layers in a bottle or jar. You will get a real decoration for the kitchen.
7. We set up a water art workshop. Dilute food coloring or brilliant green in water. Give your baby a glass of clean water and a dropper. Let it drip colored water into clean water – it turns out beautifully, just incredible.
8. Ikebana for dummies. Do you still remember how to make newspaper hats? It’s time for the baby to learn this. Fold yourself first, then unfold the sheet back – let the child repeat your masterpiece along the folds. And there you will get to the “frog”.
9. Wet fun – throwing various objects into the water and see which ones drown and which don’t. The main thing is to make sure that there are no objects nearby that should not get into the water in any way. For example, your cell phone.
10. A variation of Cinderella – Cinderella the needlewoman. Have your child sort the colored buttons or beads by color and size.
11. We include a young illustrator. The child draws a pencil around various objects (lids, spoons, matchboxes, etc.). And then together you try to guess which is which.
12. We train the future proofreader. Task: find and paint over a certain letter (for example, A) in a magazine or newspaper with a felt-tip pen. At the same time, you will pump up your attentiveness.
13. Quest of a thousand balls. You need to tear paper napkins and roll balls out of them. Not necessarily a thousand, of course. But a couple of dozen can be built.
14. Making crafts from salt dough. Before that, however, it still needs to be done. If you don’t feel like doing it, there is an alternative in the form of kinetic sand. Or good old plasticine.
15. We play the treasure hunter. We bury various little things in a jar of flour. We arm the child with a strainer. Let him fish for the treasures.
16. Making a water clock: pour some water into a small glass. We give the child another glass – empty – and a spoon. And now – attention, motor! How long will it take for a child to pour water from one glass to another with a spoon?
17. And again in the case of plasticine: spread it on a sheet of cardboard and glue pasta and cereals to it.
18. Getting ready for the New Year. So what, what’s early? It’s early – not too late. Need a hole punch and colored paper – forward to beauty!
19. Do you have a couple of boxes of paper clips lying around? Better – plastic, colored. You can make a chain out of them. This meditative activity disconnects even adults from reality.
20. Bumpy polyethylene. Don’t sigh like that, extract your supplies! Let the child have fun. He will calm his nerves, and you will calm yourself. Five minutes of silence, broken only by clicks.
21. The treasure hunter turns into a diver. What we threw into the water for buoyancy now needs to be caught. Strainer or net.
22. Train a perfectionist. Inventory: a bottle with a narrow neck and various little things such as beads, coins and all the same paper clips. It is necessary to “pack” all of them in a bottle.
23. We play confectioner. Let the child make candy: wraps all sorts of things in candy wrappers. If only he didn’t try to feed them to the cat!
24. Penne pasta is not only a pretty name for feather pasta. This is fun for your mischievous person. If you pour them out of the pack into a plate, and give the child a string, then while he is making a garland of pasta, you will be able to update the VKontakte feed.
25. Making soap bubbles: pour water into a bowl or small bucket, add dishwashing liquid. The task of the young chemist is to beat the foam with a whisk. The bigger, the better.
26. Do you have disposable cups from your last picnic? Excellent! You can build a pyramid out of them. Or a castle.
27. Let’s remember the art of applique. An old magazine, scrapbook, glue and scissors – and you have five minutes of peace.
28. Arrange a trip at the refrigerator door. You probably have a lot of magnets, right? You can lay out geometric shapes from them, arrange them alphabetically – and much more.
29. If suddenly you have a few boiled eggs, then they are able to entertain the baby. Give him a marker – let him draw faces on the shell.
30. Entertainment “Fashionable Chef”. Have your child make a cream soup or smoothie by kneading boiled vegetables or soft fruits in a baby bowl.
