The 19-year-old cheerleader had no idea that she would soon be a mom.
After washing all night from pain in the abdomen and lower back, Gemma gave up: she asked her boyfriend to call an ambulance. At first, the girl thought it was just pain before menstruation, and by the morning she was already sure that she had appendicitis: the pain did not subside, the pills did not work. An ambulance took Gemma to a local clinic, from there she was sent to the hospital and was already dumbfounded there: honey, you have contractions.
“I was shocked. I only had a toothbrush with me, but it turned out that I needed a whole bunch of things for the baby, ”says Gemma.
She did not even suspect about pregnancy: the girl constantly protected herself, took oral contraceptives, and then switched to hormonal injections. Her periods did not stop, her stomach did not grow, and she was not bothered by any sensations characteristic of pregnancy. In addition, a week before giving birth, the girl did a pregnancy test twice, but the regularity of the cycle was lost. The test was negative in both cases.
To prove her words, Gemma posted a photo of her belly, which he was in the ninth month: not a hint that she was about to give birth.
… In the hospital, it turned out that childbirth is already in its most active stage: full disclosure, epidural anesthesia is too late. “But I could think about what happened to my child. Is he healthy? I was leading my usual lifestyle, with training and parties, what if it somehow affected his health? ” – recalls Gemma.
She did not know what gender her baby would be, of course, she did not have a name. The girl was not at all ready for motherhood, but she was not going to give up the child. “When the doctors told us that my boy was healthy, it was the best moment in my life,” the young mother smiles.
After giving birth, she had another test: to tell her parents that they were now grandparents. This role was taken over by Charlie, the newfound father. Gemma’s parents did not believe him: they regularly saw their daughter, what kind of pregnancy? But you can’t argue against the facts – the baby cheerfully squeaked in the cradle. The crumb was named Logan, and the dowry for him was collected by the whole world. “We fell in love with him at first sight,” says Gemma. “And even though we hadn’t planned for children, we were in seventh heaven with happiness that there are now three of us.”
