“I ate for nine”: a photo of a woman who gained 100 kg after giving birth

38-year-old mother of three children once did not fit into a standard chair in a restaurant. She weighed more than 170 kg at that time.

Susan Drummy had no problem accepting herself. Although she played sports, she followed the regime. Her father was a military man, so there was no other way – she gained weight anyway, the faster the closer she was to puberty. But it was not critical – Sue was an ordinary, slightly overweight teenager. And then the pregnancy happened.

Sue gave birth to her first child when she was only 17. A boy was born, the young mother named her son Dillon. During pregnancy, and after giving birth, Susan’s weight grew by leaps and bounds.

“During pregnancy, I ate for nine,” the woman recalls. – I then gained more than 50 kg, recovered to 146 kilos.

After Dillon was born, Susan remained a single mother. And in this, too, she sees the reason that she did not succeed in losing weight.

“I completely focused on my son, trying to give him everything I can. Therefore, there was no time for myself, I mostly ate cheap quick meals and pasta, ”she explains.

By that time, nothing remained of Sue’s self-confidence. She knew perfectly well that she didn’t look her best. But, in spite of everything, a year and a half after giving birth, she met a man, whom she soon married. However, this only made her figure worse. Sue felt so comfortable in her relationship that she began to eat even more, and more and more often outside the home. Apparently, seizing stress was still not the main reason for her gluttony.

A few more years later, Susan became pregnant again: Bo was born, and a year and a half later, Demi. Of course, this also did not pass without a trace. Susan has grown too heavy for her home scale. Their scale was simply not enough to show the real weight of a woman. So it is possible that she weighed much more than 170 kg – this was the maximum that the bathroom scales in Sue’s bathroom could show.

“I loved to drink wine, eating it with chocolates and chips. I think it was the main source of calories, ”Sue makes a shameful admission.

But the movement for a mother of three children remained somewhere in the teenage past. Her husband led an active lifestyle: he climbed trees with the children, played outdoor games with them. But Sue never took part in this fun.

“I convinced myself that I was not interested in all this. In fact, I just couldn’t. “Now the woman is honest with herself. “I even started to avoid traveling because I was afraid of not being able to fit in the chair.”

Surprisingly, Susan had no health problems. She was an incredibly, monstrously healthy person, but her body mass index just went off scale. It was not obesity, but something more. But Sue decided to change only after she publicly disgraced herself: together with her husband, they went to a restaurant, and the manager tried to replace her chair.

“You won’t fit into the usual,” he said.

It was a terrible shame. Susan knew perfectly well that now all the visitors of the restaurant were looking at her. She turned around and hurried out of the establishment. What is there when you were publicly told that you are too fat.

The woman decided to lose weight. To begin with, she gave up wine and joined a group of like-minded people: she was losing weight according to the system, when it was necessary to photograph each dish and dump it into a general chat. It helped, the weight crawled down. Later, Sue began to run, and her progress accelerated: she lost 64 kilos in a year. Then there was a regression: due to injury, Sue could not run for a while, and even their house was robbed. She sipped the wine again – and the kilograms happily began to grow back to her sides. And only a year later, Susan took up her mind again: she returned to sports and healthy eating.

But no amount of diet and activity helped her anymore. Some more effective measures were needed. As a result, the woman underwent stomach surgery. And then miracles began: she was losing weight before her eyes. It was not easy: Sue was on a liquid diet for a month, then on mashed potatoes for another month. Even food commercials were hard to watch. But she did it.

Now Sue trains eight times a week, engages in strength training, aquafitness, and sits on a low-carb diet. And the portions had to be greatly cut, now she eats from children’s plates.

In total, Susan lost more than 100 kg. But now she has another concern: to get rid of excess skin. This operation is no longer included in the insurance, but she does not have that kind of money – a million and a half in rubles. Therefore, Susan announced a fundraiser and hopes that next year she will finally be able to afford the plastic of her dreams.

“I want to be one hundred percent confident in myself,” she says. “This is not possible yet, but I hope.”
