After reading hundreds of recipes, I thought about my own moonshine still. It is much more pleasant to put your product to some kind of feast than to constantly run for an additive to the store. Therefore, if you decide to collect this miracle at home, my experience may be useful to you.

General description of the device device
Collecting a moonshine still is not a difficult task, you will see for yourself a little later. At the exit somewhere in the corner you will have a small device.
Its appearance depends entirely on your imagination and on the materials that will be used to create it. In the vastness of the network, when I was preparing for the collection and studying this case, I came across such “masterpieces” that my mother did not cry.
But better try to make it aesthetically attractive, then the cooking process will be much more pleasant and interesting. In general, not so much material will go into the course.
Technically, the device will consist of:
- Cuba for haul;
- Serpentine;
- Refrigerator;
- hoses;
- Additional elements: thermometer, seals, etc.
The cube contains raw materials, then alcohol vapor enters the coil through a hose, then, already in the refrigerator, they condense.
If you want to get a product that will be purified from harmful impurities and oils, then a dry steamer should be included in the design. It will act as an element of communication between the tank and the refrigerator with a coil.
What we need
Personally, I almost did not spend money on the production of my apparatus, since most of the necessary things were already at hand.
So, regardless of the shape, size and design, a good moonshine still MUST contain:
- Refrigerator;
- Sukhoparnik.
The refrigerator is used to cool the generated steam so that it turns into a liquid. For its production, I needed a two-meter thin-walled tube made of food grade stainless steel. Its diameter is 8-10 mm.
Important: It is better not to make a refrigerator out of copper or aluminum. Of course, he will perform his functions, but at the same time moonshine will be saturated with an unpleasant smell.
Some amateurs, for whom quality is not very important, just to quickly make “fuel”, say that a dry steamer is optional.
As for me, there is no way without it, because unnecessary fusel oils accumulate in it, without which both the quality and taste of the drink increase significantly. And it is not difficult to make it from ordinary improvised means.
Let’s get started – preparatory work
As preparatory work, you can only consider the purchase of the missing materials that you cannot find at your fingertips.
Check all elements for dirt and cobwebs, it is better to clean them in advance, since it will be more difficult to do this in the assembled version.
After you understand how a refrigerator and a steamer are made, everything will fall into place and there will be no questions about what to buy.
Making a refrigerator
I’ll tell you in order how I prepared the cooling tube:
- I bought a stainless steel pipe. It is better not to spare money and take it from such a material, because the finished product will, after all, enter the body;
- I filled it to the full with dry sand so that it would not deform when bent;
- With the help of a machine at slow speeds, he scrolled the tube, giving it a spiral appearance;
- At the end, he poured out the sand and washed it well under running water.
We make a steamer
The dryer is very easy to make. You can use a regular jar with a lid, into which two tubes that are different from each other in length are inserted.
One goes to the refrigerator, the second to the tank. The basic rule is that all parts must be clean and made of harmless materials so that the moonshine is not saturated with various nasty things.
Important: Do not use PVC hoses. Their use may be harmful to health.
We assemble the device
Collecting all the details in one wonderful design is also not difficult:
- We take the refrigerator and install it in the previously prepared holes in the body of the apparatus;
- Close the ends of the tube with caps of the same stainless material;
- All parts are carefully welded together with a sealed seam;
- We attach a steamer between the tank and the refrigerator;
- And finally, we connect the can, from which the long-awaited liquid will come out. It is necessary to drill an appropriate hole in the lid and put a tube in there.
Important: a milk flask with a clip and food rubber for tightness is very suitable as a beer can.
As you can see, there is nothing complicated in making such a miracle device, and you can make a variety of drinks: add chocolate, oak bark, jam, etc. to the mash.
At the exit, you can get a taste no worse than that of eminent alcoholic beverages. The main thing is to use good materials and not be lazy to clean all the tubes from time to time.
