I ALWAYS INSIST ON REGULAR MONITORING OF YOUTH ACNE

Juvenile acne occurs during puberty in almost 80% of teenagers. The skin on the face, and often on the back, becomes oily, the pores become dirty. As a result of these processes, red pimples with a white abscess appear on the skin. How to deal with them? Listen to the advice of a dermatologist.

WHAT TYPE OF JUNIOR ACNE DO YOU FACE?

Teenagers have different types of acne.

Some people experience occasional local inflammation, while others have many large, visible blackheads on their skin. This can have a negative impact on their confidence, especially since if left untreated, acne can last for years. Our young patients often treat their acne incorrectly, resulting in scarring. The intensity depends on the time of year: in autumn the disease worsens.

WHAT CARE DO YOU RECOMMEND?

I explain acne to my patients so they understand how the treatment works.

and I always insist on the need for regular follow-up with a dermatologist. I prescribe topical products to reduce acne (adapalene) and target some of the microbes responsible for inflammation (benzoyl peroxide). Oral drugs (cyclins) are often required to increase the effectiveness of treatment. For very severe and persistent forms of acne, I recommend Isotretinoin treatment.

WHAT PROCEDURES DO YOU PERFORM IN THE CLINIC?

Acne is “retention”,

when the pores of the sebaceous glands in the skin are blocked by many comedones (acne) and microcysts. Such skin needs dermatological cleansing. This painless, low-scarring procedure is performed on the surface of the skin to remove blackheads and microcysts. It increases the effectiveness of treatment.
