Hydrafacial treatment: what is this facial treatment?
The HydraFacial treatment is a revolutionary treatment, in particular for the face. It requires a certified practitioner, is completely painless, more effective than most other facials, suitable for all skin types and rarely contraindicated.
What is it about ?
This is a protocol imported from the United States, the ultimate in facial care.
The protocol consists of 5 steps:
- First, a diagnosis is made after a thorough examination of the skin. How healthy is the skin? We list fine lines, spots, we appreciate hydration, firmness. We end up identifying the specific problem to be corrected: dry skin, acne-prone skin, dull skin, etc. ;
- Secondly, the treatment is carried out: complete cleansing, light peeling, to prepare the skin and facilitate the next step;
- The 3rd step consists of the extraction of comedones, impurities, blackheads by aspiration;
- The skin is then massively hydrated (4th step);
- At the same time as we hydrate, we use cocktails (or serums) containing antioxidants, peptides, hyaluronic acid, vitamin C, to make the skin plump and plump and protect it (5th step);
- The result is astounding: the pores are tightened, all the elements that dull the complexion have disappeared: the face is luminous and radiant. We feel an incomparable feeling of cleanliness and well-being.
How does this work out in practice?
You have to go to an aesthetic clinic or a medi-spa and have an hour in front of you. The operator must be a certified practitioner. A medi-spa is a place that combines a beauty area (massages, balneotherapy, etc.) and non-surgical aesthetic medicine treatments. We advise you to start with one session every 3 weeks over 3 months, then one session every two months, in order to sustain the results.
Here is the practical information to know:
- It takes 180 € for 30 minutes of treatment, or 360 € per session. Sometimes 250 € for 40 minutes;
- The only contraindications to Hydrafacial are: damaged or very fragile skin, pregnancy and breastfeeding, allergy to aspirin and algae, concomitant anti-acne treatment (isotretinoid, for example Roaccutane);
- The passage under the LED lamp completes the rejuvenation;
- More or less significant redness appears after the session and disappears very quickly. Better to take this into account to avoid a meeting at the exit.
You don’t have to suffer anymore to be beautiful
The Hydrafacial treatment is completely painless. It’s about passing a device that looks like a big pen or an ultrasound probe that can serve as both a vacuum cleaner and an injector. Several tips are used depending on the stages of treatment (see below).
Once the impurities have been sucked up, the aforementioned molecules can be injected and a major hydration can be carried out. It is more effective than the peel. Not only is it a treatment, but it is a moment of pleasure, based on a philosophy of prevention regarding the health of the skin.
It is interesting to note the “prevention” aspect of this treatment. The “clients” identified on the web are more or less famous young women, careful to keep an impeccable face for sometimes professional reasons but also for a simple concern for self-image on a daily basis.
Its name comes from hydrating (HYDRA) and face (FACIAL) but this technique can be used for the neck, shoulders, hair… legs.
An impressive machine
The “big pen” is connected to a big electronic machine (about the size of a life support machine) which may surprise. It uses an advanced, patented medico-aesthetic technique (Vortex-Fusion). 28 patents filed today make this treatment the most revolutionary on the beauty market.
During a HydraFacial treatment, patented HydroPeel tips manufactured using patented Vortex technology are used in a specific way:
- The blue tip is used during the cleansing and exfoliation steps in combination with the Activ-4 serum;
- The turquoise blue tip is ideal for deep cleaning for the extraction of impurities, blackheads and comedones with Beta-HD serum and a Glysal apole;
- As for the transparent tip, it promotes the penetration of hydration and rejuvenation serums.
A somewhat worrying observation, however: there are an incalculable number of “HydraFacial” machines offered on Internet sites at all prices and of all sizes, whereas it is a matter of care to be carried out in a specialized environment. Beware of untimely and uncontrolled employment. Let us insist on the exclusively professional nature of this act.
