Hyaluronic acid for wrinkles

“A few lines are enough to present our information about aging, we know so little about it,” wrote physiologist Ilya Mechnikov at the beginning of the last century. Now, 100 years later, a little more is known about age-related changes. In particular, doctors know for sure that hyaluronic acid helps fight wrinkles.

What is hyaluronic acid?

Hyaluronic acid, this main beauty helper of our time, is actually present in the human body from nature. It is part of the tissues of the nervous system, bones and joints, is found in the blood, the heart valve, the vitreous body of the eye and, of course, in the skin, where it regularly performs its main function – retains moisture and thus maintains the skin matrix. To understand the extent of its moisturizing properties, just imagine: this acid can hold up to 1000 times its own weight in water! Unfortunately, with age, hyaluronic acid in the body becomes less. As a result, wrinkles appear, the skin becomes dry, dull, loses its tone.

Products with hyaluronic acid replenish the level of moisture, and also fight against the listed troubles, and soon you will notice that:

  • the skin became smoother and more elastic;

  • wrinkles are smoothed out;

  • the contours of the face became clearer.

Indications and contraindications

Cosmetics with hyaluronic acid can be used at any age, but there is evidence that the aging process in the body begins at the age of 25, so you should pay attention to such products during this period. And a contraindication to use can only be individual intolerance, which is extremely rare.

The benefits of hyaluronic acid in the fight against wrinkles

To smooth out wrinkles, the skin is sometimes enough just to moisturize: thanks to moisture, it becomes smooth and elastic, the cells are supplied with nutrients and function well. Hyaluronic acid:

  • not only binds and retains moisture in the stratum corneum of the epidermis (for which it received the name “molecular sponge”), but also creates a protective film on its surface. This film does not allow moisture to evaporate, saves the deeper layers of the skin from dehydration;

  • activates the recovery process, helps to renew skin cells.

How to smooth wrinkles with hyaluronic acid at home

The answer is simple: use cosmetics in accordance with the type, needs and condition of the skin. The network has recipes for homemade masks and creams based on hyaluronic acid. But they can hardly be compared with store-bought ones. The latter are more convenient to apply, better tolerated, and act more efficiently – verified by research.

Fillers

Gels based on hyaluronic acid are used in contour plastics to:

  • fill wrinkles and deep skin folds;

  • correct the oval of the face;

  • give volume in the right places – for example, increase lips;

  • tighten the skin;

  • remove asymmetry.

Collagen fillers are designed to fight the same. But they are used less often. Firstly, because hyaluronic acid itself stimulates the production of collagen. Secondly, the effect of hyaluronic acid injections lasts longer – up to 12 months. Thirdly, they are much better tolerated: our body, as a rule, does not reject any hyaluronic acid, even of synthetic origin. Finally, such fillers are easy to remove if the result is not satisfactory. To do this, the enzyme hyaluronidase is simply injected into the desired areas.

biorevitalization

This is also an injection technique, but it is aimed not only at correcting wrinkles, but also at general facial rejuvenation. Preparations with hyaluronic acid are injected under the skin, and it does its usual thing in the dermis and epidermis – it attracts moisture to the cells. As a result:
  • the skin becomes smoother and more elastic;

  • its tone increases;

  • shallow wrinkles are smoothed;

  • traces of fatigue disappear;

  • cellular renewal is activated.

Great choice for an upgrade!
