Hunting beer: history, overview and types

Beer Okhota is part of the large Russian holding Heineken. It is considered one of the strongest intoxicating drinks for real men.

Short story

The first can was produced at the end of the XNUMXth century at the Stepan Razin Brewery, famous for its unusual traditions, in St. Petersburg. After the closure of the plant, “Okhota” was brewed in the St. Petersburg Brewing Concern and in the Moscow Corporation.

Characteristics

At first, “Hunting” was produced according to traditional classical technology. Only malt, hops and yeast were used, excluding other additives. The masters of the brewery focused on those lovers of this drink who are looking for a persistent strong taste and a pronounced bitter aftertaste.

A lager with an alcohol content of 8 degrees and a density of 17,3% has a pungent smell, as well as a rich bitterness. The taste is very deep with a pleasant tart aftertaste. Now, sugar and maltose syrup (molasses) are added to Okhota beer, which makes the drink softer. However, the original fermentation technology and aging procedure are respected.

Types of beer “Hunts”

Four subspecies of this brand are produced:

  1. strong

Foamy light beer with a rich strong taste of malt and hops, and also has a sweetish aftertaste. The most popular line of the brand.

The brewing process uses bottom fermentation, so the beer has a bright and beautiful amber color.

  2. Winter

The peculiarity of this species is the aroma of dry fruits, as well as a thick, sweet taste.

It belongs to one of the strongest types of beer in the Heineken concern.

  3. Aged

The main characteristic feature of this species is the addition of caramel malt. This gives the beer, in addition to a pleasant taste, also an unsurpassed aroma.

Foamy appearance, deep taste and persistent aroma attract real gourmets of alcohol.
