Hundreds of strangers congratulate her autistic girl on her birthday

And none of the loved ones invited to the holiday came.

– I have no friends … No one will come to my birthday …

What kind of mother would remain calm hearing such words from her child? When 26-year-old Candy Butchers from Melbourne heard her Rihanna whisper this to herself on the eve of her XNUMXth birthday, she just couldn’t hold back her tears.

It would seem that it is easier: to arrange a holiday for the child. Invite the kids. Have plenty of fun. But…

Rihanna is seriously ill. The girl has progressive autism. She is a very intelligent child, but she completely drops out of social life. She goes to school, but she really has no friends there. Moreover, her classmates scoff at her. What a holiday here – with their own tormentors.

“When I heard my daughter’s suffering, my heart literally broke into small pieces,” my mother told one of the Australian publications.

The woman decided: her child should have a real birthday. She invited her friends with children to the party.

“Well, they understand the situation, they shouldn’t refuse,” Candy thought.

Naivety! And holy simplicity.

All morning before the upcoming party, Candy and her husband Adam decorated the house: they hung posters, balloons. We ordered a birthday cake. The birthday girl was looking forward to the guests. And again this damn “but”.

– I invited 25 people. Ten promised to come, – my mother recalls. – However, from the very morning, calls with excuses rained down. The husband allegedly took the car from someone, someone got sick. As a result, everyone refused invitations! Many, of course, apologized. But I was just furious. At that moment, I felt like a bad mother and a failure, who does not have faithful friends who are ready to help.

As time went. Rihanna, who did not understand anything, asked her mother where the guests were. The woman did not know what to say to the girl, for whom this could be a severe blow, which worsened her condition. She was sitting in the street and sobbing when she heard her daughter sadly say to herself: “Nobody loves me. Nobody wants to be my friend. “

This was the last straw. Desperate, Candy wrote a Facebook post. Not on your personal page, but in one of the “mother’s” communities.

“Today is the birthday of my wonderful little daughter … And no one came to our party. I don’t even know how to tell her about it. She will simply be killed. I feel like a terrible mother. Apparently, I have no real friends either. But I will still try to make this day special for her. Somehow. “

Almost immediately, Candy began to receive words of support and congratulations addressed to her daughter from people who were completely unfamiliar to her from all over the world – from Africa, India, Great Britain. The people who lived in the neighborhood were ready to drop everything and come to the party that was nearly broken. A couple of hours later, about forty people gathered in the Butcher’s house – adults and children. Guests brought food and drinks with them, gave Rihanna money and postcards. Someone even went to a jewelry store and bought a ring for the birthday girl.

As a result, the girl had a really good holiday.

– My daughter had the best birthday ever! Thanks to all these complete strangers, – wrote after that Candy on the social network.

And what about Candy’s so-called “friends”? After she published her post, she received calls from several of them, who were upset with how netizens spoke about them. Do you understand, yes? They were not worried about how the girl felt after such a betrayal, but how they themselves looked in the eyes of society. But Candy herself doesn’t care about their opinion.

– Goosebumps when you realize that no one will appear, – says mom. – And wild disappointment in people whom you have known all your life and who turn away from you.
