PSYchology

Howard Gardner is a professor at Harvard University and the author of the theory of multiple intelligences. His new book focuses on five types of thinking that, in his opinion, every person who wants to succeed in the modern world should master.

The disciplinary type allows us to gain professional skills. The ability to assemble a coherent picture from disparate fragments characterizes the synthesizing type of thinking. The ability to creatively process information and offer an unusual approach is characteristic of the creative type. A person who can understand and cooperate with others has a respectological type of thinking. The crown of mental strategies is the ethical type, which provides for the implementation of moral principles in life and work. Gardner is convinced that all five types of intelligence are inherent in all people to one degree or another, and gives practical recommendations for successfully developing and applying each of them.
