Good shopping rules
1. Come to the start of sales. If you have already looked after a certain thing in the store for a long time and want to buy it at a discount, it makes sense to track the very beginning of sales. Perhaps you won’t be able to save a lot and the price difference will not be more than 30%, but on the other hand, you will get what you need. Further discounts will increase, but the likelihood that the bag or dress you need will remain in your size, it will be small.
2. Decide on time and budget. Decide in advance how much time and money you want to spend in the store, and try not to go beyond the indicated limits. Psychologists believe that the optimal time for shopping is 2-3 hours, after which you get tired, lose concentration and start making rash purchases. Try to pay in cash, because it is easier to part with the “virtual” money on your credit card than with the bills in your wallet.
3. Go to the store with a list. Buy an item not because you are impressed by its tiny price, but because you really need it! Of course, sales are fraught with many pleasant surprises and it is difficult to foresee what the most attractive discounts will be. However, in order not to get lost in the abundance of goods, make a list of things that you especially need, and first of all pay attention to them. Before going to the checkout, once again go through your purchases and critically assess their need.
4. Buy classics. Basic items are the best investment during sales. Classic shirts, suits, skirts, trousers, tops, comfortable and beautiful shoes will always be relevant. Do not buy trendy recognizable things – they will no longer be relevant next season.
5. Save your receipts. How often do we want to return things bought in the shopping rush! It’s your right. And do not listen to sellers if they convince you that a thing bought at a sale cannot be returned or exchanged. Things of proper quality, even bought at a huge discount, must be accepted from you within two weeks.
6. He who seeks will always find. Many chain stores have a common product base. If you have not found a thing of the size or color you need on the shelves and hangers, ask the sellers by computer or phone to find out if it is available at another outlet.
