You are talented, but this needs to be conveyed to people. If you want your articles to be read, do the simple things.
First, write a brilliant article. Well, write a smart and informative article, and write it clearly. LAT will help you, if you are students of the University of Practical Psychology, you can handle it.
Now, now, now, the fun part. After the text is written, shorten it by 2 times, leaving only the most important and the brightest, most memorable. To do this, make two penetrations:
- See which of the paragraphs, sentences or fragments of sentences you can delete without violating the semantic unity of the article? I think that in this way you can reduce one third of the article.
- Leave the rest, but reformulate it briefly. Shorter and sleeker. Even though these are not aphorisms yet, work on finishing your wording. Remember: shorter and sleeker.
Next, let the text rest. Good. Now back to work:
Check your text for spelling in Word’e (periods and commas are written together with the word, like this. And not like this, it’s terrible.) And break the text into small paragraphs. Arrange carefully.
Now — highlight the theses: a short summary of your main thoughts with clear instructions on how to think right and what to do right. If you find it difficult — start your article to tell your friends, gradually understand yourself what is the main thing you want to say.
But after that, a few aphorisms for your work — still create. Indeed, go through your text and look — how many aphorisms do you have in your text? Churchill had a norm of one aphorism per paragraph. You can start with one aphorism for three paragraphs. And then two. Yes?
ARCHIVE: Look at the first sentence of your article. It should grab the reader! Short, bright, smart, emotional — take your pick, but your first phrase should be great. Hooray, done!
Now google pictures that are relevant to the topic and decorate the text with them. It’s not hard.
And the last one is more difficult: make your lyrics melodic. Make it so that it lays down on your breath. For easy breathing. To do this, start reading your text aloud, really LOUD! — and catch moments where reading is still difficult: it means that here the melody of the text needs to be finalized. How?
To make the text melodic, it is worth alternating complex sentences and simple, long enumerations and short phrases, as well as adding connecting words — they fill in the gaps in the breath. Have you already learned to hear the melody of the text? Is this paragraph melodic, and how would you end it?
You can compare two articles: one is logical, built as a skeleton text. The other is melodic, flowing like a text-stream. See →
Question from a man (programmer): It is easy to search for the necessary information in a skeleton text. And when reading a text-flow, you have to probe the skeleton yourself to find the right part of the text. It turns out that it takes too much time. Is it worth it? —
Answer: Yes, it is easier to find the necessary information in the text skeleton. And in the text-stream it is more pleasant, the text carries you by itself. Guess which texts are preferred by the main readers of psychological texts, i.e. women?
Women love beauty. And women must be loved!
Well, you get the idea: the last sentence of your article should also be great. You did it — you are brilliant!
