If you want to make sure in advance that the chosen shade of hair dye is right for you, you should evaluate how it will look using a tinted shampoo. If the color did not fit, it does not matter – the tint shampoo can always be quickly washed off without much harm to the hair.

How to wash off the tinted shampoo?

Hair dyes containing ammonia and oxidants work by breaking down the natural pigment under the influence of the generated oxygen and replacing it with an artificial one. In the process, the destruction of keratin chains takes place and the natural pigment acquires the ability to wash out. After dyeing, the structure of the hair becomes porous, their surface is dull.

Repeated dyeing has the most catastrophic effect on the health of the hair – it becomes dry and brittle, their ends split

Tinted shampoos contain neither ammonia nor oxidants, so the natural pigmentation of your hair is not disturbed or destroyed without the possibility of restoration. The coloring pigment contained in the tinted shampoo is evenly distributed over the surface of the hair, giving it the color of your choice. This color will be less bright than the paint and will be different from it, since your natural shade will still show through.

Do not use a tinted shampoo in the first 2-3 weeks after a perm or bleaching of hair: the shade may differ from the selected tone and may lie unevenly

Therefore, the tint shampoo not only does not violate the hair structure, but also has a positive effect on it, because it contains moisturizing and caring substances. After applying it, the hair becomes shinier and healthier, and gains volume.

How to wash off tinted shampoo

At home, the tint shampoo is washed off rather quickly, even without the use of any special products. Depending on the selected shade, the duration of the dyeing time and the individual characteristics of your hair, it will be enough to wash your hair 3-6 times to make the shade invisible.

But in the event that the chosen shade categorically did not suit you and you want to get rid of it quickly, use special deep cleaning shampoos or emulsions to remove dye from your hair.

A regenerating hair mask, although it has a different purpose, can also make the shade less bright.

From folk remedies, you can try a kefir mask, which should be kept for 30 minutes. You can also use a soda rinse.

For them you will need:

– 2 tbsp. baking soda

– 2 liters of warm water

Wash your hair with a regular shampoo designed for your hair type. Mix the baking soda with water so that no sediment remains. Rinse your head with this solution. Dry your hair with a hairdryer, the air should not be very hot. After a few hours, repeat the procedure a couple more times. So that your hair does not suffer from frequent washing, apply a balm at the final stage after shampooing.
