Just wash the item as usual, but instead of the classic washing powder, add an enzyme one. In this case, two details should be taken into account:
Washing should be carried out at low temperatures. If the water is hotter than 40-50 degrees, the enzymes will be destroyed and will not work. Use temperature settings for delicate fabrics or, if your machine allows you to manually set the intensity of water heating, then set it to 30 degrees;
Washing time should be longer than usual. Set up the machine accordingly.
If the stain is large, old or stubborn, then you can pre-soak the laundry for 1-3 hours. Pour warm water into the basin (not hotter than 40-50 degrees), add enzyme powder, place things, and then wash them as usual.
How to clean a fresh cherry juice stain
If cherry juice was spilled on the fabric recently and has not yet had time to soak and dry, then you can use the “emergency” methods of removing and discoloring it:
Boil the kettle. Place the item over a pot or other container so that the fabric is stretched. Pour boiling water over the stain from a teapot in a thin stream. The stain will wash out and brighten before your eyes. After that, wash the item as usual. The method is not suitable for delicate and some synthetic fabrics;
Sprinkle the stain with coarse table salt.. It will “pull” the cherry juice out of the fabric. After a few minutes, shake off the salt and sprinkle with fresh. Repeat 2-3 times. After that, wash the item as usual. The method is suitable for delicate fabrics.
Salt can be replaced with talc or chalk. Baking soda is also suitable, but it can damage the color of some fabrics. Therefore, it is better to use it on white things.
How to remove cherry juice from white and light fabrics
When washing white and light fabrics, concentrated detergents can be used. In this case, it will still not work to damage the color of the material. Suitable:
Хlaundry soap. Use high-fat species, from 72%. Wet the item with warm or – more effectively – hot water, rub the stain thoroughly with laundry soap. Leave on for 10-15 minutes. After that, fill the thing with hot water, and let it soak in it for about half an hour. And then you can wash as usual;
Hydrogen peroxide. Use a pharmacy that has a solution concentration of 3%. Mix hydrogen peroxide and water in a ratio of 2:5. You won’t need much solution, so you can use 2 tablespoons of the substance and 5 tablespoons of the liquid. Saturate the stain with the resulting product and leave for half an hour. Then – wash the thing as usual;
Ammonia. Powerful bleach, so it is recommended to use on bare clothes. Dissolve 1 teaspoon of ammonia in half a glass of water. If the stain is relatively fresh, soak a cotton pad in the product and wipe the dirt, moving from the edges to the center. Old traces of cherry juice can simply be poured with this solution and left for 5-7 minutes, after which the item will need to be rinsed and washed as usual.
Another option that has proved its effectiveness is milk. Use drinks with a minimum level of fat (but not fat-free). Just fill the item with milk and leave for a few hours. Then rinse with water and wash as usual.
When working with caustic solutions (hydrogen peroxide, ammonia), use rubber gloves. They will help protect your hands from damage caused by these substances. In addition, washing with ammonia is best done in a well-ventilated area, since the pungent smell of ammonia tends to linger in the room for a long time.
How to get cherry juice out of colored clothes
The above option for removing cherry juice stains with milk works well for colored items. They are also soaked for several hours in a low-fat (but not fat-free) drink, after which they are rinsed and washed in the usual way.
In addition, you can use other methods:
Mixture citric acid and vinegar. Does not damage fabric dyeing. Dissolve 20 grams of citric acid in a quarter of a small glass (25 ml) of white table vinegar 9% or 6%. Dip a napkin or cotton swab in the resulting mixture. Wipe the stain with it, moving from the edges to the center. The pollution will start to lighten up. Wipe until you reach the desired result. After that, the thing must be rinsed, washed and dried in the open air or in a well-ventilated area;
Salt. Works in exactly the same way as when removing a fresh stain. “Soak” the pollution under steam, sprinkle with coarse salt and leave for a few minutes. Then shake off the crystals. Repeat several times, while in each “cycle” treating the stain with steam;
Soda. Quench this powder with vinegar. Apply the resulting slurry to the stain and leave for 15-20 minutes. Shake off any leftovers. If the stain is not removed, repeat the process.
When using baking soda or vinegar, first test the product on an inconspicuous area of clothing (such as under the collar) to make sure the color and staining is retained. When steaming hot, check if the item can be washed at a high temperature. This information is on the label.
