Not every blanket can be entrusted to the washing machine.
Firstly, the weight of the blanket should be at least 30% less than the manufacturer’s recommended maximum load weight for your car model. The fact is that woolen products absorb a large amount of water and the drum of a washing machine may not withstand extreme stress.
Secondly, the blanket must be laid evenly in the machine. Otherwise, the product will collapse into a lump and will not stretch. Use a special liquid detergent for woolen garments. If it is not at hand, then stir a small amount of ordinary powder in lukewarm water until the grains are completely dissolved. And then pour it into the machine.
Third, use only the woolen program for washing.
If there is none in your car model, then manually configure:
- put a water temperature sensor no more than 30 ° C;
- use the delicate mode;
- turn off the spin mode.
After the end of the cycle, do not remove the blanket immediately, let the water drain off on its own.
Then wring out the product by hand without twisting. The best option for drying is to spread the blanket on the floor. To do this, put several sheets on the floor, one on top of the other and put the washed blanket on them. Turn it over 3-4 times a day. When the blanket just gets damp, hang it on a tumble dryer or on your interior door.
