Kindergarten, school. What do these words have in common? That’s right, an alarm clock. And also tears, indignation and whining about can I just a little more. If your nerves are running low, then these five rules of easy lifting are for you.
Overnight, the biological clock of the body, accustomed to free summer, cannot be rebuilt, and parents will have to be patient in order to accustom their child to a new schedule.

“Imagine how stressful a child is: first graders need to master a completely new system of learning and relationships at school, older students have a lot of workload. Fatigue accumulates, emotional burnout sets in – everything is like in adults. Only children are not threatened with dismissal, but with poor grades and a loss of interest in learning. Or even health problems.
Many children openly admit that they hate school. And most – precisely because of the early rises. Therefore, it is very important that adults are able to build the correct routine for the child’s day and adhere to it. “
Rule # 1. Parents are a prime example.
No matter how trite it may sound, you need to start with moms and dads. Up to 8 years old, the child completely copies the demeanor adopted in the family. Expecting discipline from your child – show him an example. Plan your morning so that gatherings for school for children and work for adults go without haste, but with all the necessary procedures.
Rule number 2. Morning starts in the evening
Teach your child to plan their time in advance. Talk to him about the prospects for the next day, ask him for his views on clothes and necessary things (maybe tomorrow there will be tea at school and you need to bring cookies with you, or there will be a small matinee in the kindergarten, children come with their favorite home toys). Prepare baby clothes for the next day and put them in a prominent place, and if the child is a schoolboy, he should do it himself. Didn’t? Remind him. Be sure to collect a portfolio in the evening. Be sure that if you shift this action into the morning, the sleepy baby will leave half of the textbooks and notebooks at home.
Rule # 3. Create a ritual
Methodically, day after day, you need to repeat the same actions: woke up, washed, did exercises, had breakfast, etc. This is approximately how a schoolboy’s morning goes. And the parents must control whether the child succeeded in everything. Of course, few people like such a “dictatorship”, but there is no other way. Then, in the future, the student, and then the adult, will not have problems with self-discipline and self-organization.
Rule # 4: Turn the ritual into a game
Together with your son or daughter, come up with your hero who will help build discipline in a playful way. A soft toy, a doll, for boys – a robot, for example, or an animal figurine will do. It all depends on the age and preferences of the child. Give the hero a new name – for example, Mr. Budister. You can beat the selection of a name for a toy and laugh at funny options together. How a new character will help a child wake up depends on the parents’ imagination: show a mini-scene, write notes with a message (every morning – a new one, but always on behalf of this hero: “Mr. Budister wonders what dream you had today”).
By the way, this kind of leisure is a great pastime for parents and children. Joint “projects” teach the child to trust the adult: the child gets used to consult, show independence, and negotiate.
By the way
Not so long ago, Swiss scientists found out that “owls” and “larks” differ from each other in the speed of the biological clock located in the hypothalamus. The speed of this watch, as it turned out, is programmed at the genetic level. The results of scientific research indicate that almost every cell of the body has its own biological clock, the synchronous operation of which is provided by the hypothalamus. So if you are reproached for sleeping too long, you can safely answer: “Sorry, I am an” owl “, and this is predetermined by my genetics!”
Rule # 5. Add pleasant moments
Has your child been asking you to buy a watch for a long time? Time the event to coincide with the start of class. Choose a model with different functions and always an alarm clock. The kid will wake up on his own. Play his favorite music at the same time. Of course, it should sound quiet, be pleasant to the ear. Bake muffins or buns for breakfast, the aroma of vanilla and fresh baked goods has a beneficial effect on the mood, the kid will want to quickly taste the goodies. But first, everything went according to plan.
All these tips are simple, the difficulty is only in the regularity of their execution. And this depends only on the perseverance and self-organization of the adults themselves. But if you do everything, then a little time will pass, the biological clock will begin to adjust to the new schedule, and the child will learn to wake up on his own in the morning and get ready for classes.
