Each metal has its own characteristics. For example, gold is a sign of an expensive, sophisticated interior, but it should be an accent material. Simply put, adding a few accessories is good, but tightening the ceiling with them is not very good. Gold looks great with beige, dark chocolate, sky blue or gray.

Copper will never go out of style because of its color. She attracts the eye and fills the atmosphere with warmth. Most often it is used in furniture and lighting fixtures, and it is especially good with pale pink, gray, white and shades of red.

Brass Is an alloy of copper and zinc, an inexpensive but effective material. Often used for doorknobs as it kills germs. It is found in lamps, furniture and plumbing fittings, mirrors, wall and floor decoration, in fences.

Basic rules to help decorate an apartment with brilliance

  • Do not use large metal objects in small apartments. For example, a small figurine of an elephant will be a light accent in the interior.
  • Think about the mood of the entire space. Airy, white, light – you don’t want to overload such an atmosphere, minimalist motives will suit it – golden frames, copper door handles, brass lamps.
  • Select the main decorative element. For example, a metal dish, a Japanese brass gong, or an antique mirror with a gilded frame. The rest of the decor elements will be subordinate to him.

If you are not sure that the selected metals are in harmony, then put the items together and discard what seems superfluous.
