Is it possible to see a doctor with other ailments in the era of coronavirus?

Due to the risk of contracting the COVID-19 coronavirus, which is transmitted by airborne droplets, the best solution is to use an e-visit. During teleconsultations or videoconferences, the doctor may issue an e-prescription and discuss the existing ailments with the patient. In some medical facilities, however, it is possible to make an appointment – this only applies to emergencies (earache, toothache). However, you should remember to contact the clinic by phone.

For the sake of safety, however, it is worth using the e-visit offers, made available by many institutions, which will allow you to contact your doctor without having to contact other patients. The offer of e-visits with both GPs and specialists can be found at medonetmarket.pl.

What changes have occurred in the operation of medical facilities?

What precautions should I take when going to the clinic?

Before entering the office, the patient’s temperature is measured. You should also disinfect your hands and keep a distance from other people in the corridor. Some medical facilities also ask you to fill out an information sheet.

This is especially true for those people who need a prescription for the next series of medications. As part of the e-visit, you can choose the preferred form of contact: chat with a doctor, phone call or videoconference.

How to make an e-visit?

To make an e-visit, log in to the system of a given medical facility, and then select the dedicated icon for the e-visit. Then we choose a specialist and a convenient time when the doctor can call us or talk to us on the chat. The next step is to make a payment to the bank account of the selected facility (in the case of people who do not have a specific medical package purchased).

An e-prescription is a replacement for a traditional prescription. On the same principle, you can buy drugs for quarantined people who had to decide on an online consultation with a doctor.

Can pregnant women see a doctor?

Pregnant women should avoid visiting clinics to protect themselves from potential COVID-19 infection. In most medical facilities, a gynecologist gives telephone advice.

Can seniors visit a doctor?

Seniors who are at high risk of contracting the COVID-19 coronavirus due to comorbidities should not leave home. For them, a better solution is to use teleportation as well. If the elderly person does not have access to the Internet, they should ask their family or closest neighbors for help in filling in the form on the website.

Can I see a doctor with my baby?

As in the case of pregnant women and seniors, it is inadvisable to go to the doctor with the child. In an emergency (e.g. sudden diarrhea in a child), it is best to use teleport advice, consulting your family doctor.

What tests cannot be performed at the clinic at the moment?

It is not possible to undergo preventive examinations at the moment. Vaccinations for children and adolescents have been suspended.
