How to use beard oil

It is very difficult to grow a stylish “duck tail”, a brutal Brett or a charismatic “garibaldi” without special tools. At a minimum, you will need a beard oil – it takes excellent care of the skin and facial hair.

Why do you need beard oil?

For owners of mustaches and beards, going to the barber every 2-3 weeks is sacred. A little haircut, tweaking the pattern, shape, smoothing out naughty hairs – all this should be done regularly so as not to look like the hero of Tom Hanks from the movie Cast Away. You also need to take care of your beard at home – wash and comb, moisturize and style. And for this, you first of all need shampoo and oil for your beard and mustache. The latter can be attributed to universal means, which at the same time:

  • soften them, make them obedient;

  • give them shine

  • fight split ends.

Well, it is obvious that good care promotes hair growth. Oil for beard care (or, as it is also called, oil for beard or beard oil) will also take care of the skin of the face – that under rough vegetation often lacks care and attention. Butter:

Natural oils for beard care

Professional barbers do not recommend using ordinary table oils for beard care. Those can:

  • poorly absorbed;

  • clog pores and cause acne;

  • give the beard an unnatural greasy sheen;

  • not to soften the hair, but on the contrary, to make it hard and naughty.

It is better to add vegetable oils to salads, and use special cosmetic formulations to style your beard. There are at least two types – choose the one that suits you.

Beard Growth Oil

Tones and nourishes the skin, so that hair can grow faster. As a base oil for beard growth, castor, burdock or linseed is often used. To enhance their effect, manufacturers sometimes add essential oil of pepper or peppermint, ginger extract to beard growth products – they are needed to stimulate hair growth. True, sensitive skin may not like this.

Beard softening oil

Hair after frequent shaving is rarely soft and pliable. They are usually hard, dense, and often stick out in different directions. To soften them and moisturize, prevent split ends, it makes sense to use products with coconut, argan, olive oils, as well as shea, macadamia, jojoba, almond, cedar wood, damask rose and grape seed. All of them are rich in vitamins and antioxidants and perfectly tame the obstinate.

Sometimes henna, basma or usma oil are added to moisturizing, softening beard oils. Those lightly dye their hair: henna gives a reddish tint, basma – copper, and usma makes them darker.

  4. Apply oil to your beard. Do not overdo it, so as not to get the effect of dirty hair and oil stains on clothes. And at the same time, do not save money: if the hair remains stiff, stands with a stake, there is clearly not enough oil. Go through your hair from top to bottom, paying attention to the root zone, so that the skin also receives the necessary nutrients.

  5. Comb your beard again. Excess oil can be removed with a tissue.

  6. Repeat the procedure every day. Definitely after a haircut and beard correction.
