There are some very simple ways to find out that while you were not at home, someone has already ruled in it. And we are not talking about thieves – the loss of things is hard not to notice – but about very curious owners of the apartment you rent.
In life, anything happens. The owners may turn out to be overly curious people and, in your absence, show up at the “apartment”. Of course, this visit is very unpleasant, especially since you regularly pay for rent and have a calm, docile character. Therefore, the claim made to the owners, if you find them appearing in the apartment, will be quite justified. And you can notice the traces of uninvited guests using the simplest and most affordable ways.
The first method
A regular thread stretched across the door breaks easily when someone tries to break in or has already entered the room. The main thing is that the thread should be soft and match the color of the interior of the apartment. This method gives you a firm guarantee that you will find an unexpected visitor. The main thing is not to forget about the thread yourself and go in carefully to check your suspicions.
second method
A light transparent glass filled with small beads (exactly 50 peas) and placed on the doorstep of the apartment will surely overturn an uninvited guest. Of course, upon entering the apartment, they will notice an oversight, but they will not be able to collect all the scattered beads. Therefore, cursing visitors will understand their mistake. And this plays into your hands: you will immediately understand that strangers have already visited the apartment.
A third method
On this primitive, according to the apartment thieves, they manage to come across, probably for the thousandth time. An ordinary glass of water behind the threshold of the front door always overturns, and a wet rug is proof that you have been in your house. It simply does not have time to dry so quickly.
The fourth way
This method is pretty messy – and literally. A rug in front of the door, impregnated with paint (for example, water-based paint), will also allow you to notice the presence of other people’s traces in the apartment. But keep in mind that cleaning awaits you!
Fifth way
A funnier but more effective way to spot an “enemy in your own lair,” like this one, you probably won’t find. An ordinary stool or chair with a back can be placed outside the threshold of the apartment at a mark marked with a pencil or pen. The piece of furniture is almost flush with the door, and it is unlikely that an intruder will be able not to move it.
