How is frontitis treated?

Hello and welcome. I have a rather delicate question about my health problems, but also about my sexual problems. I’ve been feeling big for a while pain when entering the vagina. It appears, of course, when trying to intercourse, but also when I wash myself too much or try to use tampons. Of course, I was at the doctor who suspects after the first visit vaginitis. I do not have a final diagnosis, because I am still waiting for the last tests, but the gynecologist is firmly convinced that this diagnosis is correct.

And here comes my question – how to treat vaginitis? What is used to reduce pain in the vagina and, above all, whether treatment of vaginitis is effective? Is there a chance that a well-chosen treatment will help me, cure the inflammation of the vestibule and finally stop feeling this terrible pain? Please let me know from a doctor before I go to my own. I’m not hiding that symptoms of vaginal frontitis they are very troublesome, and the pain is so severe that I am not able to deal with it.

The doctor indicates the methods of treating vaginitis

You describe symptoms of vestibulodyniapain in the vestibule of the vagina and is part of a condition known as vulvodynia, or pain in the external genitalia. The exact cause of it is not known yet, but research indicates that the underlying cause of the disease is excessive sensitivity of the nerve ends around the vestibule of the vagina due to chronic fungal infection, trauma to the area – due to childbirth, violence, and genetic, hormonal, allergic and irritation. the area may also be affected by the above-mentioned symptoms.

Treatment of vestibulodynia is aimed at treating pain and discomfort. It may take a while to find the treatment that works for you and to start working, and in some cases combining different drugs will work best. The pain, however, sometimes goes away on its own, but it can also last for months or even years. It is important to make lifestyle changes, including: avoid tight clothes and exercise that puts direct pressure on the vulva, avoid soaps, tissues soaked in chemicals, deodorants in the intimate area, as they can irritate the area of the vagina and try to use lubricant during intercourse if, despite this, the intercourse is painful – withdraw from it.

If the treatment prescribed by the doctor does not work, and the pain persists, you should continue looking for a method of treating pain, avoid staying in the bath for a long time, and do not use perfumed tampons or pads. Some patients, especially in coping with pain, are helped by visiting a psychologist or sexologist with whom you can talk openly about your feelings. The condition can be complicated by generalized anxiety disorder, depression, trouble sleeping and reducing quality of life.
