What is the treatment of facial ulcers?

Hello. I am a 52-year-old man. I’ve always had skin problemsWhen I was young, I developed acne, which tormented me for many years. Back then, there were no such resources as now, but no one was particularly concerned about it. Later, my skin was often irritated, it turned red from the sun and blisters popped up, it was also negatively affected by many creams, cosmetics, etc. The problem with acne it never really passed me.

Of course, it is no longer like juvenile acne, but I always have some pimples, etc. Recently, I have started to appear ulcers or something like ulcers. These are different pimples than acne pimples, they resemble exactly ulcer changes, I checked it on the internet and it seems that it’s actually something related to ulcers. So I have a question how to heal ulcers on the face? Can I treat them somehow at home, try some natural medicine, or maybe creams or ointments? Can such ulcers on the face just be squeezed out? Please help.

The doctor advises on how best to treat ulcers on the face

Acne usually affects young people, but it can also occur in the elderly, it is mainly associated with overactive sebaceous glands and keratosis of the hair follicles. The hormonal economy is also important, especially androgens, which cause more sebum production. It must not be forgotten, however, that the cause may also be Propionium acnes anaerobic bacteriaas a result, irritating to the skin, and their very presence causes the influx of inflammatory cells and the constant occurrence of skin inflammation.

Under no circumstances should you treat ailments at home, using “natural medicine” methods, or squeeze changes! Acne does not only affect adolescents, it can affect anyone, and the described by you probably is a form of pyoderma that will not respond to treatment with over-the-counter creams only. You should plan a visit to a dermatologist, only he will be able to assess the changes and recognize acne and its form more precisely. I, having only a description, can only assume and ask you to report to a specialist.

Treatment of severe forms of acne is done with general treatment. For mild forms, only topical treatment, usually with a prescription, is sufficient. General treatment is usually multi-pathological and contains the antimicrobial and lipolytic product inhibiting the lipolytic activity of Propionibacterium acnes, simultaneously with the administration of B vitamins, excluding vitamins. B12 as it may have acne triggering effects.

In addition to antibacterial treatment, products containing 13-cis vitamin A acid are also recommended. It has a strong keratolytic and anti-seborrheic effect. It should be mentioned here that retinoids are teratogenic, so women of childbearing age using this preparation should also take contraceptive drugs at least one month before the therapy and 2 months after its completion. In addition to the above-mentioned drugs, zinc salts, sulfones and anti-androgen preparations are also used. If the dermatologist recognizes acne fulminans, it will also be advisable to use small doses of steroids.
