You can keep it from 30 minutes to 2 hours, or you can leave it overnight. Nails will stop flaking after applying the mask for a month or two. You can get rid of the problem more effectively by alternating with other methods. For example, with an alum compress.

Alum compress. Mix 1 tsp. burnt alum (powder) with 2 tbsp. l. water and 1 tsp. glycerin. Soak cotton pads in the mixture and place them on the nail plates for 15-20 minutes. After the procedure, wash your hands with warm water and apply a moisturizing hand cream.

This is a very effective compress. If you start using it daily, you will notice the result within a week – your nails will become noticeably smoother and stronger. Perform the procedure in the evening, and in the morning apply silicone cream on your hands

Pour 0,5 tbsp into 1 liters of warm water. l. sea salt, immerse your brushes and, touching the crystals with your fingers (as if you want to dissolve all the salt in water), keep your hands in the solution for 15–20 minutes. Carry out the procedure every other day for 2 weeks, then take a break for a month, then repeat the course. When the nails stop flaking and become strong and even, you can do salt baths as a preventive measure once a week. To enhance the effect, you can add 0,5 tsp to the saline solution. olive oil and 3-5 drops of lemon juice.

Another very useful product for the bath when delaminating nails is ordinary yogurt. Just immerse your hands in it and hold for 10-15 minutes. Then rinse with warm water and brush with any hand and nail cream. Since the product quickly deteriorates, losing its useful qualities, do not use the same curdled milk several times, it must be fresh every time.

Iodine applications. Quite an effective method. Apply 3% iodine alcohol solution in one layer to the nail plates. This can be done with an ear stick or nail polish brush. Due to the fact that iodine stains, do applications on weekends or in the evenings.

Recommendations of masters of manicure

If your nails are stratified, do not hesitate to seek professional support. Professional assistance can be provided in beauty salons. For example, carry out the “sealing” procedure using nourishing creams with proteins and vitamins or a special “crystal mineral”. Your nails will look absolutely healthy, and along with this, all the useful components will heal every sick nail for 2 weeks.

Use the correct nail file. No – a metal file, yes – a file with a special abrasive coating, ideally glass, ceramic or flint. Treat the nail with a movement in one direction to avoid cracking.

Hold the file at a slight angle and use long strokes to guide it from the edges of the nail towards the center. Be sure to polish the edge, it shouldn’t be sharp. To prevent nails from breaking, give them an oval shape.

When removing varnish, do not use products that contain acetone. Otherwise, the stratification will progress, the nails will begin to deteriorate more and more, become thinner and even get off their bed.

Splitting nails is not a reason to give up manicure, but give your nails a two-day rest after every five days. When self-manicure, do not allow thick layers of varnish, it is better to use a leveling base for varnish.
