How to treat cuticles. Video

The cuticle is a skin roll that protects the nail plate from bacteria. It is located at the bottom of the nail, in the growth zone. When performing a manicure, it is very important to pay special attention to the cuticle so that ugly burrs and thick layers of keratinized skin do not spoil the manicure.

For a long time, even manicurists preferred to trim most of the cuticle using special tools. However, now this method is no longer practiced: the fact is that by removing the skin incorrectly, you risk touching the nail and leave an ugly strip on it, which will then be difficult to hide. In addition, if you remove the cuticle yourself and make a mistake, you can greatly increase the risk of microorganisms entering the nail growth zone. That is why the first rule of caring for the cuticle says that you should not cut it off without preliminary preparation.

By cutting off the skin, you can achieve an undesirable result: the cuticle will only become rougher and more noticeable. In order not to spoil the manicure and not carry out the procedure for processing the nail plates too often, it is better to avoid this method.

Remember the second important rule: the cuticle should be treated with special products, including oils and creams. They make it soft and elastic, as well as almost invisible, since after the procedure the skin adheres tightly to the nail and does not dry out, which means it does not become coarser.

In this case, it is very important to combine the application of special products with massage. Warm up each finger separately, and allow the procedure for at least 5-7 minutes. Note also that it is recommended to give preference to oils and creams that improve the condition of the cuticle and at the same time strengthen the nails and accelerate their growth. In this case, your hands will always look beautiful and well-groomed, and it will become easier to perform a neat stylish manicure.

How to properly care for your cuticles

Before treating the cuticles, be sure to do a hand bath. This rule is very important to follow if you want to preserve the beauty of your nails. Take 5-7 minutes for this preliminary preparation, and then massage each finger and rinse your hands.

You can buy bath products from the store or make them at home. Warm water with sea salt, chamomile broth helps well. Choose products based on your skin characteristics

When the cuticle is soft, massage cream or oil on it, and then gently push the skin away with a special stick. Be very careful not to make sudden movements or touch the healthy, dry part of the cuticle. After that, using a sharply sharpened trimmer, you need to very carefully cut off areas of keratinized skin, without affecting the nail plate. Then you should rinse your hands, apply cream on them and massage your fingers again.
