An independent child, able to occupy himself – this is convenient for parents. But in fact, as soon as the child begins to understand something, the parents have to give all their time to him. To teach a child to play, he must be interested
There are a number of skills that a baby acquires through games:
- Communication. With the imaginary communication of toy creatures with each other, the baby develops speech.
- Social roles. In social games, the child studies relationships in the family.
- Collaboration with others. By playing and listening to fairy tales, the kid understands that it is easier to solve problems together.
- Development of fantasy. Improvisation with various objects that mentally turn into fabulous, creating interesting situations and new characters, develop the child’s thinking.
- Overcoming fears. What is scary for a child in life is easily overcome with the help of play.
What the child’s character will be in the future largely depends on what he plays at an early age. At this time, the baby is very curious and imitates everything that he sees. Show him a few games with toy objects and creatures, and then his imagination itself will tell him how to have fun while his mother is busy.
How to teach a child to play on their own
Not every child can learn to play on his own. Sometimes a child has a lot of dolls and cars, and he does not play with them, but simply follows his mother and whines.
The reason is that he doesn’t know how to play with them. The skills that he acquired himself quickly get bored with him, and no one has instilled new ones. How should a mother behave so that her child learns to play? There are many tricks for this:
- You can play with your child, doing household chores, role-playing games are convenient for this. Mom can play several roles, and the child can play one – the main one.
- It is not worthwhile to suck with a child, but pretend to be small by the strength of either parent. It is very important to play on equal terms with the baby. The child learns to trust and share his experiences.
- You can act out the plots of different fairy tales, while improvising and allowing the child to come up with unusual situations that are not typical for the corresponding fairy tale.
Teaching a kid to manipulate objects consciously is easy. And all family members can do this, not only the mother.
If parents take this problem seriously and begin to play with their child more often, they will soon spend more time with toys, without interfering with their elders to go about their business.
