How to Talk to Yourself to Succeed

We constantly think about something, but we do not always attach importance to the content of these conversations. However, the course and quality of our life depends on this content.

Think about how many thoughts come into your head during the day. For example, when you have something important to do or when you are busy with something. Every second of your life, without realizing it, you think about at least three things: about yourself, about life in general, about the people around you.

All these thoughts are controlled by an internal mechanism, which is formed under the influence of the knowledge gained, experience and relationships with parents at an early age, says psychologist and psychotherapist Monia Ferretti.

How does this mechanism work and what does it affect?

If you want to achieve something, ensure the full operation of this mechanism, conduct only positive dialogue with yourself, that is, convince yourself that you can achieve any of your goals. If you repeat that you cannot achieve what you want without the help of others, you are too shy and unlucky, negative internal dialogue will interfere with the work of the entire system.

Everything you say sooner or later becomes your reality. Tell yourself every day that you are capable of everything, and you will achieve unprecedented heights. Only in this way will you notice the opportunities that life provides.

And vice versa – how will a person behave who tells himself that he can do nothing and is afraid of everything in the world? He will not be able to use all the resources and opportunities that life has surrounded him. After all, he will repeat: “Why put in so much effort when I already know that nothing will come of it?”

The present is the result of our internal dialogue, positive or negative.

The brain functions like a computer. In order for it to work efficiently, you need to invest in it only the correct information, which means positive thoughts.

Try to observe your thoughts and understand what type of dialogue prevails. You can change your life only after you change your thoughts. In the event that you yourself are unable to do this, you can always seek the help of professionals who will help break this vicious circle.

If you feel that you can handle the problem on your own, write down a few phrases that motivate you on a piece of paper and repeat them as often as possible throughout the day. Over time, this will become a habit and will bear fruit.

When formulating phrases, remember that you need:

  1. use only positive words (then you will focus on what you want to achieve),
  2. use the present tense (this will create the illusion that all your dreams have already come true),
  3. be brief.

Your destiny is only in your hands, and you can always change it.
