From the cabbage fly
Among the pests of cabbage, the cabbage fly is also distinguished, which appears somewhere in the middle of May. She prefers to lay her eggs at the base of plants. The larvae, which appeared after a month and a half, go deep into the ground. There they gnaw the rhizomes of a vegetable crop, provoking its withering and inevitable death. It is advised to pollinate the soil near the plantings using a mixture of tobacco dust, ground black pepper, and ash. Dust and ash should be taken in 20 parts, and pepper – 1.

To effectively combat aphids, infusions of yarrow, horse sorrel, celandine, horseradish, wormwood, potato tops, onions, its husks, and orange peels are successfully used. A solution of milk will help – 500 ml with the addition of 10 drops of iodine in a bucket of water. An infusion of potato tops is prepared at the rate of 300 – 400 grams of it per 10 liters of water. Onion peel tincture will turn out if you pour 200 grams of it with 2 liters of boiling water, and after a couple of hours bring the existing volume to 10 liters.
