Christmas is one of the more risky times for a person on a diet. A table full of delicacies that we sometimes wait for all year round, the weather favorable in the evenings by the fireplace with a glass of wine, all this is a real challenge for our diet. What to do to get out of it without unnecessary kilograms and not to miss the results? All you need is a few changes to the Christmas Eve menu, moderation and a walk in the fresh air 🙂

Carp

Divided into pieces, carefully dipped in flour and deep-fried – this is the most common carp we see on the Christmas Eve table. In this version it is heavy and high in calories. However, carp can be “healed” a little. The first change is minimal frying carp in clarified butter and then baking it in the oven.id = »h20 ″> The fish can also be prepared in jelly or in the form of fish soup. Below is a recipe for baked carp:

Ingredients: id = »h20 ″> carp fillet (about 1,5 – 2 kg), 1 orange, 2 limes, 1 lemon, 1 tablespoon of honey.

Manufacturing method: id = »h20 ″> Wash the fish and pour over the lemon squeezed juice, leave it for 10 minutes, rinse the fish again. We combine lime and orange juice with honey, mix thoroughly. Put the fish into an ovenproof dish, cut it, salt it and rub it with honey and juice. Bake for 40 minutes in 180 degrees Celsius.

Dumplings

The dumplings themselves aren’t bad. It is not difficult to make them an exceptionally dietary dish. You can turn a part of the white flour into wholemeal flour in the doughid = »h20 ″>, thanks to which we will increase the amount of dietary fiber, which swells in the stomach and increases the feeling of satiety after a meal. When preparing traditional, Christmas stuffing, i.e. cabbage with mushrooms, it is enough to chop everything finely, boil the cabbage, drain it, fry everything lightly and then stew it. After seasoning, the stuffing is ready.

Gingerbread cookies

Gingerbread cookies are an inseparable ingredient of Christmas. However, they can be prepared in such a way as to be one of the healthier sweets on the Christmas Eve table. Enough replace plain flour with wholemeal flourid = »h20 ″>, ready-made gingerbread spice – a self-composed spice, and the frosting – dark chocolate sprinkled with nuts. Borscht Christmas Eve

Borscht is a soup that we can prepare as a really valuable dish. The borscht broth itself should be prepared from vegetables (not from stock cubes), id = »h20 ″> a concentrate preferably made of boiled, fresh beets (not from a bottle or – worse – from a powder), acidify the borscht with apple vinegar (not harmful spirit). If you like white borscht, you can use plain yoghurt directly on the plate instead of cream.

Christmas Eve dishes can be really tasty and healthy. So it’s worth controlling the ingredients from which you prepare meals so that the whole family can enjoy the full taste of each Christmas Eve dish.
