How to set the table cheaply. Video
If you want to save money and cut down on food costs, this does not mean at all that you have to compromise on the quality of food. You cannot save on this, because the quality of food primarily affects your health and appearance. Learn to economize properly, and you can feed your family balanced and varied meals and even set lavish but inexpensive holiday meals.
Some Common Home Economy Secrets
You are the minister of finance at home, so you approach the issue of purchasing food as an item of expenditure in the family budget – competently and carefully. Knowing some of the secrets will help you significantly reduce your waste without losing quality. So, for example, you can refuse to buy expensive ham, balyk and other meat delicacies in favor of fresh meat, which is much cheaper. It can be marinated in spices, and then baked in the oven and, like ham, can be used to make delicious and hearty sandwiches. Stop buying fish fillets, which are twice as expensive as whole fish. You can make a fillet from it yourself, and the bones do not need to be put anywhere: you can cook excellent fish soup or fish soup from them, the head and trimmed fins.
Include offal and inexpensive chicken dishes more often. Chicken hearts and ventricles are also delicious and inexpensive. Fermented baked milk and kefir with berries and pieces of fresh fruit will be able to replace expensive yoghurts, and the same fruits – juices that make diluted concentrates with sugar and in which there is nothing useful. More often include white cabbage salads with carrots and apples in the menu – there are more vitamins in such a winter salad than in expensive tomatoes and cucumbers grown on chemical fertilizers in greenhouses.
You can use the same secrets with success when preparing a menu for a festive table.
The festive table is made not so much by the dishes as by the decoration. Take care of beautiful dishes and tablecloths, decorate dishes with salad leaves and fresh herbs

But the compote and peritoneum will need to be prepared the day before the guests arrive. Add a little grated ginger root, fresh lemon juice to the apple compote and leave to brew for a day. Before placing in the oven, insert strips of thinly sliced chicken breast into the incisions. Roll the peritoneum into a roll, tie with twine, put in the oven for 2,5 hours. Serve it the next day chilled and beautifully cut into thin slices.
Strain the compote, chill and pour into beautiful decanters – your guests will not even understand that this exotic drink is made from ordinary apples
Bake pollock fillet in the oven, serve with boiled rice, drizzled with sour cream sauce. Pollock can be fried in a pan for 2 minutes on each side, and then just stew for a short time in the same sour cream sauce.
