You can save money without leaving your home. For example, electricity. Think how much money is spent on using electrical appliances and lighting an apartment. Kilowatts are converted to rubles. And tariffs are actively growing, as well as the number of appliances that consume energy.
Tips on how to use light sources sparingly:
It is not necessary to use a chandelier with 5-6 lamps all the time. Install local sources of lighting – floor lamp, sconces, which will have one lamp each.
Make it a rule to turn off the lights when you leave the room.
Install dimmers (dimmers), thanks to which you can adjust the brightness of the light. (However, remember that not all types of lamps work correctly with dimmers, check with your purchase.)
Wash your windows more often: dirty windows let in much less light.
Dirt accumulating on the shades takes up to 10–20% of the light. You turn on additional sources and waste extra electricity.
Light materials in the decoration of an apartment reflect up to 70-80% of the light, and dark materials – only 10-15%. What do you have wallpaper?
Energy saving lamps: calculating the benefits
Life time energy saving lamp about 6-15 thousand hours, while a conventional incandescent lamp takes only 1 hours. Despite the low cost of the latter, the former win. But be careful: fluorescent lamps contain mercury, so they cannot be thrown anywhere or broken. We will have to hand over the spent lamp to the regional DEZ or REU, where special containers should be installed.
Let’s say your lamps burn on average 6 hours a day, 2190 hours a year. Let’s take an energy-saving lamp of 23 W for 110 rubles and an incandescent lamp of 100 W for 10 rubles (roughly corresponding to each other). Incandescent lamp per year will eat 219 kWh (100 W x 2 190 hours), and energy-saving – only 51 kWh (23 W x 2 190 hours). If you have a gas stove in your house, then using traditional lamps you will spend 219 kWh x 3,01 rubles. = RUB 659,2 When using energy-saving: 51 kWh x 3,01 rubles. = 154,5 rubles. As a result, only one energy-saving lamp will save you 504,7 rubles per year! How many bulbs are required in an apartment? If you need five, then the savings will be more than 2 rubles. in year. Of course, an energy-saving lamp is more expensive than a conventional lamp, but it will last about three years, unlike incandescent lamps that constantly burn out.
Tips on how to economically use household appliances and appliances:
At the time of buying electrical appliances, pay attention to the energy saving class: the best is class A, the most uneconomical is G.
Televisions and other devices that have a standby mode, it is better to unplug from the outlet, especially at night.
Use power saving mode computer… Set the parameters so that the monitor will turn off after a specified time of inactivity (4-5 minutes). A little later, the system unit itself enters sleep mode. This can save up to 50% of the electricity consumed by the computer.
As soon as you charge your phone, unplug the charger. Even without a phone, it continues to siphon energy.
Do not forget to clean filters and garbage bags in vacuum cleaner… Polluted, they reduce air draft and increase energy consumption.
If you electric stove, then cook on a hotplate that matches the diameter of the pan or pot. If the burner is larger, then 5-10% of the energy goes into the air.
It is better to cook food under the lid, this will save up to 20% of time, and therefore energy.
Watch the scale in teapot and clean it up in a timely manner. Due to a decrease in thermal conductivity, the time for heating the water increases.
Avoid incomplete loading washing machine (this saves up to 15%) and don’t overload the drum. Choose the right program. Pre-wash is not always required, which consumes up to 30% of energy.
Do not put it fridge next to a stove or a battery, since at an ambient temperature of about 30 degrees, the unit increases the amount of energy expended on cooling. For the same reason do not refrigerate warm dishes, he will have to cool them with more force.
Multi-tariff meters: calculating the benefits
Thanks to such a counter, expenses at night will be four times less than during the day. In the dark, you can turn on the washing machine and dishwasher, put a bread maker on the timer.
Let’s say you live in an apartment with an electric stove and spend 450 kWh per month. With a multi-tariff meter, you can easily save up to 300 rubles. Let’s calculate: with a single-tariff meter, you will pay 450 x 2,11 rubles. = RUB 949,5 With a multi-tariff at peak times (7.00–10.00 and 17.00–21.00) 200 kWh x 2,11 = 422 rubles, during normal (10.00–17.00 and 21.00–23.00) 100 kWh x 1,78 rubles. = 178 rubles, at night (23.00 – 7.00) 150 kWh x 0,53 rubles. = 79,5 rubles, total monthly 679,5 rubles. Savings –270 rubles.
The cost of a multi-tariff meter is 3 rubles, and even less with a collective application or with a Muscovite social card. Your costs will pay off in a year and a half. Moreover, the more electricity you use during the grace period, the faster you will start saving.
