Coronavirus spreads from dirty hands, so using disposable gloves can reduce the risk of infection. However, you have to do it correctly – otherwise gloves will not provide you with any protection. How to remove them so that the germs do not remain on your hands? The instruction may look complicated at first glance, but the instructional video dispels any doubts.

It is obligatory to wear gloves in shops

From April 2, store customers are to shop in disposable gloves. This protection should be provided by the owners of commercial facilities, but it is good that the customer also wears his own gloves, just in case.

WARNING

It is extremely important to refrain from touching your face – also when wearing disposable gloves that collect dirt. Due to this harmful habit, the mucosa of the nose, mouth and lips is exposed to contact with dangerous microorganisms. The mucous membranes are an open gateway to our body for viruses and bacteria. Therefore, it is also very risky to rub your eyes.

Removing disposable gloves – instruction

Please note that disposable gloves do not provide effective protection if we cannot remove them safely. Incorrect removal method may cause us to become infected with what we collect on them when touching handles, shelves and various products in stores.

We start taking off the protective gloves by grabbing the edge of the first glove by the wrist (from the outside, without touching the skin). Then turn the glove inside out and pull it down to the middle of your fingers. We take off the second glove in the same way. The first glove should fit inside the second. Immediately throw the removed gloves into a closed rubbish bin, and then thoroughly wash your hands with water and soap or detergent, which contains a minimum of 60% alcohol.

The manual seems complicated? It is easier to assimilate in the form of a film, in which doctor Łukasz Durajski explains not only how to remove disposable gloves, but also how to wash your hands properly and how to safely remove a protective mask.
