Woman’s Day was inspired by star makeup, and together with makeup artists from professional brand Urban Decay, we created vibrant looks.
They created an image like that of Eva Longoria.

Expectations and Reality: I am often compared to Longoria, and my favorite edition helped me make a decision about my reincarnation in a minute. Probably, Eve and I are similar not only in facial features, but also in the choice of makeup.
The actress always puts the same emphasis on her eyes. Otherwise, the perfect tone, accentuated by highlighter and bronzes, as well as lipsticks in natural shades. The main feature of Longoria’s makeup is the striking Smoky in brown tones, which accentuates and highlights the eyes and creates the whole look without the need for additional accents. With the help of long feline arrows, the makeup artist reshaped my eye shape, bringing it closer to Longoria.

Expectations and Reality: I love this actress. And although outwardly I am completely different from her (Tilda has very aristocratic facial features), I wanted to repeat her image. I love the no-makeup idea that Tilda uses: porcelain skin, a drop of blush, and barely colored eyes. To create the perfect tone, the makeup artist used a light foundation, a point concealer and a little highlighter on the protruding parts of the face.
Tilda has very light eyebrows, so for me we chose a pencil of the lightest shade and only slightly emphasized their shape. The only accent in the makeup was red-orange lipstick (applied over a pencil of the same shade) – the image turned out to be laconic and somehow strict.
Rating: 10 out of 10. The resulting makeup is quite appropriate even for a day trip.

– Using decorative cosmetics, applying layers of makeup – all this is clearly not mine. However, judging by our editorial experiment, I clearly underestimated the power of the make-up. Experienced makeup turned me from an ordinary girl to a superstar in just 30 minutes.

Expectations and Reality: After the editorial board decided to reincarnate as celebrities, I was confused. It was required to choose the star as similar in appearance as possible. The closest in type was Rooney Mara, known to many for her role as Lisbeth Salander in The Girl with the Dragon Tattoo.
I chose Rooney’s bright expressive look: porcelain tone, taupe smoky eys, natural lip tint and clear sweeping eyebrows. The makeup artist emphasized the thickness and shape of the eyebrows with a brown pencil, put shadows on the upper eyelid and emphasized the lower one a little. At the same time, the master slightly darkened the inner corner of the eye at the bridge of the nose. This little trick visually increased the size of the eyes significantly. The cheekbones were highlighted with a dark blush in a natural shade, after which the facial features became thinner and more graceful.
Rated 10 out of 10. Despite the fact that the result of the work of the makeup artist seemed to me too bright and flashy, I was pleased with my new image. I especially liked the giant eyes – as it turned out, making the facial features of absolutely any star is not so difficult!

– A radiant and even complexion, fluffy eyelashes and luscious lips are the three main components of a very easy-to-use makeup that I love. This is my usual image, and it does not change even for various kinds of events. I don’t think this is right, because a girl should be different, but I don’t know how to do beautiful makeup, for example, with an emphasis on the eyes. However, I had the opportunity to try on a completely different image that changed me beyond recognition.

Expectations and Reality: Jessica Alba is one of the brightest stars on the planet. A minimum of makeup only decorates Jessica (as well as me). She is not afraid to be natural and does not like to put a lot of makeup on her face, not only in everyday life, but also at social events. The star prefers more natural shades. Sometimes, experimenting, she uses bright lipstick or eye shadow.
To be honest, I was convinced that Smoky makeup did not suit me. How wrong I was! Still, there is a difference when you yourself are trying to depict something like that at home in front of a mirror and when a professional make-up artist does make-up for you. In general, the photo speaks for itself, it turned out very cool. The shape of the eyes seemed to have become completely different: the ideal tone of the face, the correct blush. The hand of the master is clearly visible!
Rating: 10 of 10 points. After this experience, which gave me a lot of impressions for the whole day, I wanted to go to make-up artist courses! It is very difficult to repeat this on my own, in my opinion, and not cheap! Budget cosmetics will not repeat this result, alas.

– I 100% agree with the statement that makeup can both emphasize the natural beauty of a girl and ruin the whole image. In addition, skillfully done makeup will help hide imperfections and make you look younger.

Expectations and Reality: In fact, I never really thought about how much I looked like actress Jennifer Love Hewitt until our beauty editor told me to try on a celebrity look for our regular “Wday Tests” column. The similarity turned out to be so strong that the makeup artist and I decided to stick with nude makeup so as not to spoil the picture with bright shades.
By the way, the star mainly chooses natural makeup and neutral shades. The actress tries to focus on the eyes, slightly touches the cheekbones with a bronze shade to create the effect of a light tan, and applies light pink lipstick or gloss to her lips. By the way, I’m just in awe of the way the stylist used the tone to achieve the effect of a radiant, rested face. I even had to learn how to achieve the same ideal tone as the star, which turned out to be not so easy to do. By the way, it is better to emphasize the ideal tone with highlighter and bronze.
Rating: 9 of 10 points. The professionally chosen products and the skillful make-up really highlighted my resemblance to the actress. But still, in everyday life I prefer slightly brighter shades and emphasize the Smoky eyes in brown tones or retro arrows in black or bright colors, depending on the season.

– Anyone who still does not believe that any Cinderella can be turned into a beautiful princess with a wave of a magic wand, most likely, does not know the art of make-up.

Expectations and Reality: The request of a colleague to name the name of a Hollywood star that I look like, frankly, puzzled me. Well, I did not find any obvious similarities with anyone. Unfortunately. Or fortunately ?!
As a result of brainstorming, my colleagues came to the conclusion that I will be Milla Jovovich. Hmm … I don’t even know … But it’s nice. I really love Milla.
What we have in common is preferences in make-up. In real life, the actress prefers natural makeup. Perfect tone, subtle blush, light blending on the eyes and mascara that lengthens the lashes. In her make-up, Milla uses olive and brown shades. Lipsticks are of delicate pink shades and, only occasionally, highlight the lips with scarlet lipstick.
It was not worth any effort to repeat this makeup to the makeup artist. First, she evened out the skin color and removed the dark circles under the eyes with the help of concealer, then applied blush. The upper eyelid was framed with black eyeliner, after which shadows were applied to the eyes. After using mascara, the image was completely finished.
Rating: 9 of 10 points. The makeup was amazing. To be honest, when I looked in the mirror, I felt like a beautiful princess, and, of course, a Hollywood celebrity. I take off one point for dissimilarity (mine to Mille, not her makeup).
