There are special industrial products that quickly remove wax residues from the surface. But if they were not at hand, available means and available methods will come to the rescue. It is possible to remove wax stains only after complete solidification.

To remove wax from natural fabrics that are not afraid of high temperatures, the hot method is suitable.

How to use:

  • Place the stained area of ​​clothing between two clean cotton napkins;
  • set the minimum temperature on the iron, turn off the steam supply;
  • iron with quick continuous movements;
  • periodically you need to move the napkins so that there is always a clean surface under the clothes.

For fabrics that cannot be exposed to high temperatures, use the freezing method. The contaminated item must be put into a clean bag and put into the freezer. After 2-3 hours, the wax will completely harden, become brittle, it is easy to remove it with a blunt knife from plastic.

You can use rubbing alcohol, neutral dishwashing detergent, or hydrogen peroxide to remove dye residue from colored wax.

In order to remove wax from furniture, it must be carefully scraped off. You can spread ice packs on the spots – the wax will become brittle. To remove wax, you need to use only non-sharp objects, it is good to remove it from furniture with a playing or plastic card.

To remove wax stains from suede upholstery, you need to treat the stain with a warm soda solution with ammonia.

What is necessary:

  • warm water – 170 ml + 1 l;
  • ammonia – 50 ml;
  • vinegar – 15 ml.

Mix 170 ml of water with ammonia, wipe the stain. Dissolve vinegar in 1 liter, process the furniture surface again, dry with a hairdryer. Then clean the suede with a special brush. If the stain is not completely removed, you can iron the furniture with an iron through papyrus paper.

If wax gets on a wooden surface or walls, it must be carefully removed. Turn on the hair dryer at medium or minimum speed, melt the stain until it disappears completely.

The easiest way to remove wax is to remove wax from a glass surface. Freeze the stain with ice, gently scrape off, treat the place with a window cleaner.

Removing wax stains from clothing and furniture is difficult, but possible. With a little effort and patience, things will look like new again.
