How to remove stains on suede shoes? Video
Clean shoes are an indispensable attribute of a self-respecting person, but even with the most careful handling, there are situations when stains that spoil the look appear on them. Many of them can be easily dealt with if you use the tools at hand, and your favorite suede shoes will delight you for a long time.
How to remove stains on suede shoes
Suede is a rather delicate material that requires an appropriate attitude, otherwise its appearance is lost very quickly. At the same time, stains on suede can arise even from contact with dirt or snow, therefore, when buying such shoes, it is advisable to immediately acquire the appropriate care products.
These are water-repellent impregnation, with which it will be easier to remove stains, as well as a special stain remover and an eraser to remove various types of dirt. If a stain appears on the suede, you need to wait until the shoes are dry, and then try to simply clean it off. To do this, the brush moves first against the growth of the bristles, and then along.
If dry cleaning does not work, the shoes can be washed with soapy water, but you should not bathe them too much in water and in no case should they be soaked. To make the soap solution more effective, a teaspoon of ammonia is added to 200 grams of liquid. Greasy stains on white suede are sprinkled with talcum powder, after which the shoes are brushed.
Do not use acetone or other equally aggressive chemicals for cleaning, as they can clean not only the stain, but also the paint in its place, ruining the thing.
Removing stains on leather shoes
Removing stains from leather is much easier than from suede. But here, too, there is a rule according to which acetone and other solvents should not be used. The only exception is white shoes, on which the stain can be destroyed with acetone along with the paint, but most often the bottom layer of white practically merges with the general tone, and therefore the stain will not be noticeable.
You only need to clean clean shoes, first trying to get rid of the stain with regular soap. Also, the skin can be cleaned with a soapy solution to which a teaspoon of glycerin and ammonia is added. This composition not only cleans, but also refreshes, giving the skin a shine.
In its pure form, alcohol can remove paint, therefore it is much safer to use special stain removers, although in some cases scratches of a different color on the skin can be removed quite easily with its help. At the end of cleaning, you can wipe the shoes with a sponge dipped in petroleum jelly, this will refresh the surface, but you can just as well use a regular shoe cleaning sponge with silicone.
