How to remove stains

Not only in tea, not only in dough. Lemon water, for example, works as an antidepressant. And also – as a universal bleach and stain remover. However, now let’s talk about the properties of these amazing products in more detail.

Tell me, what is your first thought when you plant a stain on a freshly bought and carefully ironed blouse? We dare to suggest that disappointment, bordering on sincere grief. After all, it is not a fact that the stain can be removed without a trace. And it is possible that now the only way for a shirt is to the nearest trash heap. But you have great helpers – lemon and citric acid. And they will help not only with stains on clothes.

Reddish-brown stains on clothes are unpleasant. Now the metal fittings on the clothes will “flow”, now the old swing, now the slide on the playground, now the peeling battery on which the towel was drying. But you never know where it comes from. Rust stains can be removed from clothing with a lemon.

Recipe number 1

In half a glass of water, you need to dilute 20 grams of citric acid and bring this mixture to a boil in an enamel bowl. Put the soiled item there and wait 5-10 minutes. The stains will disappear. After that, the thing needs to be rinsed in cold water.

Lemon will remove rust not only from clothes. If you rub a chrome faucet with a piece of citrus, it will shine like new. Another recipe is to mix lemon juice with table salt and walk this mixture over metal surfaces. And if you boil water with citric acid in a kettle, there will be no trace of scale.

Oily spots are our faithful companions in life. But you can also get rid of them with lemon. More precisely, citric acid.

Recipe number 2

We need half a teaspoon of citric acid in a glass of water. Mix, add 10 ml of alcohol and a teaspoon of table salt. Place the soiled item on the table. Rub the stain well with a sponge or cotton pad soaked in the mixture and rinse the item.

The properties of lemon to cope with fat will also come in handy in personal care. Lemon juice is recommended to rub into the scalp, leave for 10 minutes, then rinse with water. If this procedure is carried out every day, get rid of dandruff. But make sure you are not allergic to citrus fruits.

Milk lovers often sin by drinking it straight out of the box and leaving marks on their shirts and T-shirts. When such a stain dries, it becomes a yellow hue, the fabric under it coarsens, and it is simply impossible to get rid of the smell. What to do? Pick up a lemon.

Take a lemon, squeeze 2 tablespoons of lemon juice out of it into a plate, add a teaspoon of turpentine to it. Mix thoroughly and apply, rubbing, the resulting mixture onto the spots. After the cleaning procedure, do not forget to thoroughly rinse the item under running water.

Lemon will eliminate unpleasant odors not only from clothes. A sponge dipped in lemon juice will cope with a fridge overnight. Dissolving 3-4 tablespoons of lemon juice in a glass of water and pouring it into a spray bottle makes a good air purifier. And if you stick a few carnation flowers into the lemon and put it in the closet, it will cope with the moth in a few days. And, of course, it will freshen the air.

Sweat stains don’t belong here

It is so unpleasant to find traces of sweat on clothes, because sometimes even the coolest powder cannot cope with them. There are several ways to deal with them – we wrote about them in detail HERE. In the meantime, let us recall how lemon copes with yellow spots.

Recipe number 4

All you need to do is make lemon juice. Squeeze a whole small lemon into a glass of water, soak a towel in this solution and wipe the armpit area on your clothes. Repeat the procedure a couple more times. You will soon notice that the spots become fainter and finally disappear altogether.

Lemon can serve as a good bleach. Add lemon juice during the wash and it will intensify the effect of the powder.

In summer, it is so great to eat berries directly from the garden and shrubs, therefore, carried away by eating blueberries, blackberries, mulberries and currants, it is easy to miss the treacherous purple spots on clothes. These berries leave traces everywhere, such is their feature: on the hands, teeth, tongue, face. But it’s not a problem to remove them from the skin. But with clothes you will have to cheat.

Recipe number 5

For the experiment, we need 50 ml of milk and just a teaspoon of citric acid. Mix the ingredients, soak a cotton pad in the solution and thoroughly wipe the traces of your “crime”. And remember – the sooner you do it, the better.

Citric acid is useful for more than just a stain remover or a culinary ingredient. She can also “cheer up” plants. A teaspoon in a glass of water – and you have a liquid for watering plants that love acidic soil. 40 grams of sugar and lemon on the tip of a knife, poured into a vase, will make the cut flowers last longer.
