How to remove ink stain from clothes, remove old ink stain
During work, no one is safe from ink getting on a blouse, skirt or trousers. Alas, it is quite difficult to remove such pollution. However, with the right approach, this problem can still be dealt with. So how to get rid of ink stain?
How to remove ink stains from clothes
There are many ways to deal with ink stains on fabric. Choose an appropriate method depending on the color of your clothing and other factors:
• Ink from a ballpoint pen can be removed with fresh lemon juice and salt. It is enough just to sprinkle it with salt, and drop a couple of drops of juice on top. Literally after 5 minutes, the item can already be washed. Please note that this method is not suitable for white and light-colored fabrics;
• The freshest stain can be removed with milk. You need to warm it up and wash clothes in it;
• A combination of ammonia and turpentine will help to remove the old ink stain. Both of these substances must be mixed in equal proportions and the clothes should be washed in the resulting mixture. The main thing is to rinse it very thoroughly in clean water;
• If you need to clean delicate fabrics, use baking soda. Add water to it until a thick gruel forms. Apply the mixture to the stain, and after 10 minutes wash the item by hand;
• black and red ink will help remove mustard. This seasoning must be left on the spot for a day, and then washed thoroughly;
• Stains from a gel pen perfectly removes vinegar. It needs to be warmed up well (up to about 50 degrees) and treated with contamination. After that, the item can be washed in the washing machine.
Of course, it is much easier to remove fresh stains than old ones, so try not to put off solving the problem on the back burner. All of the above methods are fairly simple but effective. If the stain is too persistent and none of the available means helps, unfortunately, you cannot do without going to dry cleaning.
What not to do with ink stains
After a drop of ink falls on clothes, a person can start acting extremely recklessly out of surprise. What is the first thing you want to do in this case? Rub the stain, of course, or run to the nearest tap and wash it off. Neither can be done, as friction and moisture will only exacerbate the problem, and it will be much more difficult to remove the stain. Just blot it with a dry paper towel and start removing it at home.
As you can see, there are many ways to get rid of blots on your clothes. Choose the one that is most convenient for you. If you act carefully and diligently, the stain will give up and you can wear your favorite outfit again.
