The quickest way to remove a fresh oil stain is by ironing. Put a sheet of thin paper under the contaminated area, iron it with an iron. The stain becomes almost invisible and can be easily removed with eucalyptus essential oil and a medium-hard brush.
Work clothes heavily contaminated with fuel oil should be soaked in high-quality gasoline for 3 hours. Then wash with laundry soap. Aviation gasoline can be used for light contamination.
Caustic soda can handle tough stains and can be purchased at a hardware store. Prepare a soda solution from 1 liter of warm water and 15 g of soda, soak dirty clothes in it for an hour. Wipe the product with laundry soap, wash in the washing machine at the maximum permissible temperature regime.
At home, you can prepare a universal stain remover to remove greasy stains and traces of fuel oil.
Composition:
– white clay – 5 g;
– potato starch – 5 g;
– turpentine – 1 ml;
– ammonia – 2 ml.
Mix everything to a homogeneous consistency, rub the paste into the oil stain, leave on clothes until completely dry, wash in warm water.

When removing fuel oil from woolen and silk products, alkaline agents must not be used – cotton and flax are afraid of acid. All means must first be tried on an inconspicuous area of clothing, it is advisable to remove oil pollution from the inside out.
Moisten the area around the stain with water to avoid streaks on the fabric. If gasoline has been used to remove the stain, the product must not be machine washed.
Oil stains should always be removed from the edges so that the area of contamination does not increase. Gloves should be worn when using aggressive products. Remove stains with gasoline, acetone, turpentine away from fire in a well-ventilated area.
Removing fuel oil stains is difficult, it does not always work the first time. If the available tools do not help or the clothes are heavily soiled, it is better to take them to a dry cleaner.
