Forehead wrinkles are a problem that worries many women, as irregularities in the skin of the face can visually add age to their owner. Not everyone has the opportunity to visit a beautician, but you can cope with the problem at home. There are many types of skin care that can improve the condition of your skin and straighten wrinkles, make them less pronounced. In our article we will tell you how to remove forehead wrinkles at home.
Step by step guide
The fight against wrinkles begins with the base – properly selected care can reduce the severity of wrinkles. In addition, cosmetics can help prevent the appearance of new wrinkles on the forehead.
Step 1: Determine the type of wrinkles on the forehead
Depending on the intensity, wrinkles are divided into superficial and deep. The first type covers only the top layer of the skin. Possible causes: dehydration and photoaging. The lack of moisture in the epidermis can be dealt with by choosing the right cosmetics. Prevention of photoaging is to use sunscreen during periods of high solar activity.
The second type is deep wrinkles. This type of wrinkle affects the deeper layer of the skin. These are very noticeable creases or folds on the forehead. The reasons for their appearance can be different: both heredity and the habit of frowning. With age, deep wrinkles appear due to the lack of special skin care products. In this case, you need to think about anti-aging cosmetics before the problem becomes even more noticeable.
In addition, there are special cases: for example, owners of dry skin may experience a fine-wrinkled type of aging, which is characterized by mimic wrinkles all over the face, which become deeper with age¹.
Step 2: Choosing the Right Skin Care
1. A product aimed at moisturizing the skin
In the arsenal of every woman should be a skin moisturizer. Ideally, one of its main components should be hyaluronic acid. This component is able to retain moisture in the skin for a long time, providing its elasticity.
2. Exfoliator
One of the effective means of cleansing the skin is peeling. This is a method of cleansing keratinized particles from the surface of the epidermis. Regular use of peeling helps prevent signs of skin aging. It can be prepared at home using sugar, soda, coffee as a base. It is important to observe the proportions of the composition and use gentle ingredients so as not to harm the skin.
Step 3: Homemade face masks for forehead wrinkles
An effective and affordable way to deal with wrinkles in the forehead area are homemade masks.
1. Egg white mask
Protein is able to make the skin more elastic and reduce its fat content. Beat an egg white and apply it on the forehead area. Wait for it to dry and rinse with water. Regular use of the mask will make wrinkles much less pronounced.
2. Mask based on raw potatoes
To prepare it, you need milk and raw potatoes. Potatoes need to be grated on a fine grater, then add warmed milk and apply to the problem area. This mask is especially good in the fight against mimic wrinkles.
3. Mask based on aloe and sea buckthorn oil
The combination of aloe and sea buckthorn oil will make the skin more elastic. To prepare the mask, take a teaspoon of aloe juice and a spoonful of sea buckthorn oil, mix them and apply on the forehead. After half an hour, the mask must be washed off.

Meet Olga and Tatyana Shishlakova, dermatocosmetologists, specialists in the field of aesthetic medicine, founders of the network Shishlakovi Sisters Hypoallergenic:
There are two types of wrinkles – static and dynamic.
You can find out the type of wrinkles yourself. Look in the mirror in the morning as soon as you wake up. If there are wrinkles on the face, then these are static wrinkles. They can be caused by the fact that the skin is not very elastic, it lacks moisture. In addition, such wrinkles can appear due to a lack of collagen and protein in the body.
The lines that appear on the face only at the end of the day are dynamic wrinkles. They do not depend on age and can appear even at 18 years old. Such irregularities on the forehead arise due to active facial expressions. Emotions are reflected on the face. This type is sometimes called “wrinkles of sadness” or “wrinkles of laughter”.
Lifestyle modification comes to the rescue: less stress and more muscle rest. It is useful to rejuvenate the skin with at-home peels, which are available in professional skin care lines and drugstore brands. I do not recommend facial gymnastics, it can only exacerbate the problem. At home, you can use lotions containing 3% mandelic acid, serums with vitamin C, and creams with retinol and vitamin E.
Home care is selected according to skin type. The most important thing is the needs and characteristics of the skin: oiliness, dryness, dehydration, acne, and so on. If you choose care according to these criteria, then the skin will get what it needs, it will look healthy and moisturized. This is the prevention and reduction of the number of wrinkles, since the quality of the skin directly affects their occurrence.
