Started a kitchen renovation? Broken appliances in need of repair? Then you need to know how to remove and pull the built-in dishwasher out of the furniture. When it comes to dismantling the dishwasher, many are at a loss: where to start, how to find hidden fasteners, what needs to be disconnected first. You will learn about this in our publication.
Why is it better to get a built-in dishwasher yourself
Many users of dishwashers Bosch, Siemens, Electrolux and other brands are thinking about how to dismantle the machine from the built-in kitchen. If everything is done correctly, the work will not take more than 10 minutes.
Why is it better to do the work yourself, rather than contacting a service center? You can save on the work of the master, who will definitely count the dismantling of the PMM for a separate service.
For example, a technician needs diagnostics to find out the cause of a breakdown. What do you pay for:
- for the departure of a specialist at home (depending on the company);
- for diagnostic services;
- it will turn out on the spot: in order to conduct an inspection, you need to remove the PMM from the furniture – you will also pay for this.
Contact the service center or not, it’s up to you. After reading our article, you will learn how easy it is to do the work yourself.
After buying a dishwasher, many turn to furniture makers who are engaged in embedding and connecting appliances. There are cases when furniture panels or a case are drilled through with self-tapping screws for better fastening.
As a result, a plastic water tank located at the side wall of the PMM is damaged. There may not be a leak right away, because the self-tapping screw is inserted tightly. But when you decide to pull out the car, the tank will no longer be restored.

We carry out dismantling with our own hands
Inspect the equipment, find the places where the fasteners are located. Usually, PMM is attached to the side panels of the cabinet and the countertop with special plates. Get your Phillips and flathead screwdriver ready and get to work.
How to remove the dishwasher, we will tell using the Bosch model as an example:
- Disconnect the equipment from the network.
- Close the stop valve.
- Now you need to unscrew the bolts of the bottom panel, remove it and put it aside.
- Disconnect the inlet hose from the PMM body, to do this, unscrew the fixing nut. Prepare a container, water may leak from the hose.
- Loosen the junction box screws. Remove the cover.
- Take a picture of the location of the wiring in the block so that you can connect it correctly later.
- Unscrew the bolts and fasteners, disconnect the wires.
- Remove the bolt from the bracket mount to pull out the cable.
- Use a flathead screwdriver to pry off the O-ring and release the cable.
- Let’s move on to the plum. Open the door under the sink, find the place where the drain hose is connected to the siphon or sewer.
- Loosen the clamp, remove the hose from the seat and pull it out through the furniture panels.
- Open the hopper door, unscrew the bolts that secure the body to the tabletop.
- If the model’s legs have been adjusted and locked, remove the screws and lower the legs.
- Grasp the side panels with your hands and pull the equipment towards you, pulling it out of the niche.
If you had a fully built-in model with a hinged door, you can remove the front. It’s not hard to do this:
