That is why it is worth taking care of your liver after Christmas. Experts tell you how to do it.
One of the surprising things about the liver is that it can regenerate itself. Even Christmas gluttony can’t damage her for good. On condition, however, that we come to our senses in time. Even if for a few days of Easter we indulged in eating sins, right after Christmas we should return to old, proven habits that will help rest our strained liver.

Diet after Easter. Yes, you will help the liver
The liver is a wonderful organ and has the ability to regenerate. We do not need to help her with drugs, supplements or various types of cleansing diets that are recently fashionable. The only thing we should do is return to healthy eating and regular physical activity right after Christmas. Literally 2-3 days is enough to restore homeostasis in the body – explains clinical nutritionist Roksana Środa.
During the holidays, we are rarely able to deny ourselves delicious food. Without thinking, we reach for another portion of fatty meat or fluffy cheesecake or crispy mazurka. However, just after Easter, we must forget about these delicacies.
– First of all, it is best to limit the consumption of sugars: sweets, sugar, sweetened drinks, as well as heavy, caloric sauces and alcohol. I also recommend drinking plenty of water with vitamin C, advises Dr. Dariusz Maj, a gastroenterologist from the Damian Medical Center, in an interview with Medonet.
We should also take a closer look at our menu. Let’s eliminate fried foods from it for a while and those smoked and spicy. Let’s also give up fatty fish for a while. All this can additionally burden the liver, which was already strained by us.
It is best if, after Christmas, our menu includes mainly easily digestible dishes, in which vegetables predominate. Due to the fact that they are rich in fiber, we will feel full very quickly. In addition, our digestion will improve. Let’s also focus on eating more often, but in small portions.
So it’s better not to prepare too many dishes for Easter so as not to eat them over the next few days. – It is worth taking care of our digestive tract, including the liver, during and even before Christmas. Every day, let’s take care of healthy eating and remember that Easter is 1-2 days, not a whole week. Usually, the problem is just prolonging the celebration and eating Easter dishes for the next week after Christmas – warns Roksana Środa, a clinical dietitian.

Drinks to regenerate the liver after Easter
