How to reduce the number of abortions in Poland? Sharp words of the gynecologist

Beata Tadla’s guest in the program “Onet Rano.” was Dr. Maciej Socha, gynecologist. The doctor talked about what the state should do to reduce the number of abortions in Poland.

Gynecologist: Continuing pregnancy is sometimes persistent therapy

Dr. Maciej Socha is the head of the Obstetrics and Gynecology Department of the St. Wojciech in Gdańsk. In the program, he talked about the situations that gynecologists will encounter in their work. – When the fetus is deeply damaged, there is no chance of survival, and sometimes we stop persistent therapy. Continuing pregnancy is then persistent therapy. Pain, to be exact, torturing a couple is unworthy of me – said Dr. Socha.

Dr. Socha commented sharply on the prohibition of abortion in the case of severe fetal defects.

– If we want to reduce the number of abortions, we need sexual education, access to contraception, including emergency contraception, and state care for people with disabilities. We are just d ***! We are in a situation where we do nothing, and we want to settle the problem from the other side – said the gynecologist in the program “Onet Rano.”
