Dandruff is caused by dry skin, which is very stressed during the cold season. She especially suffers from temperature changes: when we enter the office or home from frost, where the air is dry with central heating, and vice versa. All this leads to a violation of the water balance. To restore it, drink at least 1,5-2 liters of water per day.
Another reason for dry skin is hard water. You can soften it with a cleaning filter. An alternative option is bottled water, which is sold at any grocery store. Rinse your hair with it after washing, adding a couple of drops of peppermint essential oil (to soothe itching) and green tea (to relieve irritation).
Often the scalp dries out due to a lack of zinc. Therefore, make sure that the diet includes foods containing this element: apples, green vegetables, honey, sea fish. Use zinc-rich hair care products.
Dandruff can appear after dyeing your hair. Experts advise not to wash your hair before the procedure – a protective fat film will save you from burns.
