How to quickly clean mushrooms
First of all, you need to pour them onto the flat surface of the table (if there are a lot of honey agarics, the easiest way is to use a flat place on the ground), having previously spread an unnecessary clean household cloth. This way, you can immediately see spoiled, old and dry mushrooms that should not be eaten. Next, pay attention to the caps, removing all the debris from the outside and from the side of the plates. Take a closer look at the leg, insects, remnants of earth, dead grass and old leaves may remain in it.
Too long and damaged legs must be cut off with a knife, leaving them for further processing. Little young mushrooms can not be cleaned, but simply doused with boiling water, having previously placed in a colander. Large mushrooms can be cleaned with a soft kitchen sponge or a soft toothbrush, brushing well over the entire surface of the mushrooms. To remove caterpillars and other forest dwellers, after cleaning, you can soak the mushrooms for an hour in salted water – all uninvited “guests” will leave on their own. After that, in the general case, mushrooms need to be boiled.
