The two most popular options are:
• inertial design. It is attached to one wall, and a hook is attached to the opposite. When you need to dry your laundry, you can grab the handle of the structure, pull it across the entire balcony and attach it to another wall. This will give you 5-7 ropes depending on the model;
• cantilever construction. This design attaches to any surface and unfolds like an accordion when you need to dry your laundry. Despite its diminutive appearance, it can withstand up to 10 kg of wet clothes.
Which option to give preference is up to you. But keep in mind that the second option uses up space more economically.

Hanging your laundry outside to dry outside the balcony is a very practical solution, as it will save you a lot of space. It is especially convenient to hang a rope in this way if you have a small balcony or loggia. But with this option, you need to make a special secure mount.
Install strong steel brackets on both sides of the balcony, with profiles and steel corners with holes on them. To prevent the structure from deforming over time, a spacer should be placed between the distal ends of each profile. Do not place the profiles perpendicular to the wall of the house, but attach them at a slight upward angle. This will greatly simplify the process of hanging the laundry.
When hanging the rope on the prepared structure, do not pull small pieces of rope over each length. Take one long rope and pull it diagonally through all the holes. This option is much more reliable.
Whichever type of attachment you choose, pay attention to the selection of a suitable rope. Ordinary twisted ropes are unreliable. Try to give preference to jute, thin metal ropes, or polypropylene.
