How to properly store things in the closet: tips

“A picture, a basket, a cardboard box and a little dog …” – these are not only words from a famous poem, but also what is often happening in many closets. We will tell you how to place things on the shelves so that they look perfect and last as long as possible.

Have you ever opened your closet door and stood confused for a few minutes because you can’t find the thing that you planned to wear today? And all because the storage system in the wardrobe is not well thought out and things lie haphazardly, look untidy and wear out quickly. Therefore, we have collected some valuable tips to help you keep your outfits and save you tons of time in the morning.

1. Hang women’s raincoats and coats on a hanger and place them on a special bar (the height must be at least 145 cm).

2. Men’s raincoats and coats must also be hung on separate hangers and placed on a high bar (which is at 175 cm).

3. Trousers must be carefully folded in half and put into a special compartment, the height of which is 120-130 cm.

4. Tights, socks and underwear are best stored in small drawers 12 cm deep. There they belong!

5. Hats, scarves and gloves can also be stowed away in small drawers and left there until needed. So they will not get in the way and fall out of the cabinet at the most inopportune moment.

6. Seasonal shoes are usually placed on the lower open shelves, which vary in width from 80 to 100 cm.

7. Open shelves under the ceiling are provided for storing bags and suitcases.

8. The widest open top shelves are convenient for storing bed linen, blankets and blankets.

9. Closed narrow shelves can be used to arrange delicate items neatly. So they do not deform and remain in perfect condition.

10. Leave a few open shelves for clothes that stretch easily.

11. For sports items and equipment, there is also a place in the closet! Place everything related to sports on the upper shelves and take it out only when you are going to the gym.
