So, your dream has come true and you have become the proud owner of a luxurious plasma. However, it is too early to rejoice. After all, now you need to understand how to properly position the TV in the apartment so that it is stylish, convenient and, of course, safe.
For many, rest is associated with watching their favorite TV shows, when, for example, the whole family gathers in a cozy living room and certainly turns on the TV. Therefore, a large model in this case will be a completely justified purchase, because everyone should be as comfortable and convenient as possible. In addition, modern plasma models allow not only placing them on a bulky cabinet or a slide in the Soviet style, but, for example, attaching them to a wall and thereby not cluttering up the space. We will tell you how to place the TV correctly without spoiling the design of the room.
1. Perhaps the most important question is what size of the diagonal to choose. Indeed, many moviegoers, given free rein, would turn the entire wall into one large monitor and place speakers everywhere. But seriously, you should choose the size of the plasma based on the size of your room, because even doctors recommend keeping a distance of 3,5 meters (when watching TV with a resolution of 720 p and a screen diagonal of 50 inches). So for a room with an area of, say, 15-17 square meters, a 42-inch model is quite suitable.
2. Next, you need to decide in which part of the room the TV should be placed. In fact, the arrangement of furniture will play a decisive role in this matter – the screen must be clearly visible.
Another nuance that you should pay attention to is the window. You cannot place the TV in front of the window, otherwise, instead of a clear bright picture, you will contemplate glare. However, if the area of the room (or design) does not provide for the possibility of hanging the TV in another place, then be sure to purchase window blinds or blackout curtains.
3. Another important point – at what height should the TV be hung. In fact, there is no clear rule here, it all depends on your preferences. To find out, go into the room, take the place where you will be at the time of viewing (for example, if this is a kitchen-dining room, then the plasma should hang in such a way that it can be clearly seen if you are cooking something or sitting at dinner table). Then move your gaze to the place where you plan to hang the TV; exactly at that point (at or slightly above the eyes), as a result, the center of the monitor should be located.
4. Next, you need to take care of securely fixing the TV to the wall. First, you need to check if the wall (where you plan to hang it) can withstand the weight of the plasma. For example, in no case should a monitor weighing more than 30-35 kg be mounted on a plasterboard wall. Otherwise, your wall will collapse along with the TV. Do you need it?
If your wall is made of bricks or blocks, then you should fix the plasma to the wall using special brackets (just first, make sure that there is no wiring in this place). By the way, brackets are either rigidly fixed or adjustable. The second option is much more convenient, because if necessary, the angle of inclination or rotation of the screen can be easily changed.
5. Where to hide the wires so that they do not get in the way? This question is of interest to absolutely all household members. If, say, your renovation is still at an early stage, then you are incredibly lucky. No, not in the sense that renovation is great. And in the sense that if your apartment is in a state of repair, then it is easier for you at this stage to immediately plan where the TV will be located. Accordingly, you can immediately hold three regular sockets and one television outlet behind the monitor (8-10 cm from the top or bottom edge of the monitor) to connect a plasma monitor, tuner and / or Wi-Fi adapter).
If you plan to install another special cabinet, then it is better to place additional sockets in it (it is enough to build a block for 4-5 outlets at a height of 30 cm from the floor).
In the event that you have a ready-made design project and repairs do not shine for you for another 2-3 years at least, then the wires can be hidden in a cable box, brought to the TV and carefully disguised (as much as possible in accordance with the style of the interior).
