Stationary placement of the washing machine in the bathroom or kitchen is justified. A heavy machine is connected to the network and communications, so you are unlikely to want to just move it.
However, in the event of a repair, relocation or purchase of a new SMA, you must properly turn off the washer. After reading the article, you will understand how to do it correctly without sacrificing technology.

To disable it yourself, you may need:
- wrench;
- straight or Phillips screwdriver to loosen clamps.
For rusty parts, use WD-40. This “liquid key” will help you quickly deal with rusty, soured parts.
How to disconnect the washing machine from the water supply? Let’s talk in more detail:
- Make sure the washer is not running, then unplug the machine. If the connection was through an extension cord, disconnect it as well.
- Turn off the water supply. To do this, turn the shut-off valves as far as they will go. Usually they are located behind the SMA and are attached to the wall.
- Open access to the back of the washing machine. If you’re doing it yourself, alternately pull on one corner and then the other. Together, the task is easier to complete, because you can simultaneously apply forces and rearrange the car. Pay attention that the hoses are not stretched and there is no premature disconnection.
- Remove the inlet hose. Use a wrench if it is secured with nuts and a screwdriver to remove the clamp clockwise.
- With the water collection container at the bottom, disconnect the hose from the CMA. Drain the remaining water, then disconnect the other end of the hose from the valve by turning it clockwise.
- Disconnected wire and hose, attach it to the wall of the washing machine.
- Disconnect the drain hose from the washing machine and sewer, draining the remaining water into a bucket. Then attach it to the CM wall on the bracket.
- Clean the freed pipes from dirt with a brush. Secure all loose parts carefully with duct tape so they don’t get damaged or lost if you move the washer.
- Take care of the drum mount. During transportation, it may be damaged, so use special bolts or pieces of foam rubber for fastening.
- Collect all the spare parts in one place and pack them.
- Make sure there is no water left in the system. Otherwise, during shaking, water may enter the control box, causing it to malfunction.
It is advisable to allow the washing machine and all its parts to dry before transporting. To do this, open the door hatch and leave the washer to stand for a day.
Now you know how to properly disconnect the washing machine from the water supply. Therefore, avoid unnecessary problems when rearranging or transporting.
The main thing – always adhere to safety precautions, unplug the device from the network in the first place.
