Sun, air and water, contrary to popular belief, are not best friends at all! Rather, the opposite is true. Going on vacation to the sea, you must remember that enemy number 1 – ultraviolet. The sun’s rays, sea water, dry salty wind are just a disaster for the owners of even problem-free hair. But if we visit seaside resorts for a couple of weeks a year, the constant humidity, characteristic of Nizhny Novgorod, makes its contribution: the hair sticks out disobediently in different directions, nullifying all morning efforts in front of the mirror. A few simple tips will help you maintain and improve your hair.
Tip # 1. Cleansing
Any care procedure starts with cleansing. In the summer, you should abandon aggressive shampoos and, if possible, choose products that do not contain sodium laureth sulfate (sodium lauryl sulfate or surfactant), silicone and parabens. The problem is that during shampooing, surfactants (surfactants) and water “wedge” between the dirt and the hair. After that, even with a slight mechanical effect, the fat is torn off the surface of the hair, coagulating into drops. Part of the fat in this case forms micelles – the smallest droplets surrounded by a monomolecular layer of surfactant. The surfactant interacts with keratin, disrupting its structure: the protein unfolds and swells, becomes less durable. Washing takes away not only dirt, but also useful components. As a result, the hair becomes dull, brittle and unruly, easily electrified. Hair is especially susceptible to this after bleaching with peroxide or perm. Overdried scalp coarsens, begins to peel off and, as a result, dandruff, redness and itching appear.
For brittle, split ends and hair weakened by chemical action, it will not be difficult to find the right shampoo. It is usually enriched with amino acids, vitamins and may include oils, lecithin, plant extracts, protein condensates and natural fatty acid esters, silicones. You should not use the same shampoo for a long time, even if it suits you perfectly.

If you have only “harmful” shampoo at hand, you can save the situation with the help of ordinary pharmacy vitamins. Add a few drops of vitamins A and E, which are sold in ampoules, to the bottle. After washing your hair, rinse it with water and lemon juice or a little vinegar. An excellent source of nutrition will be chamomile tincture, essential vegetable oils.
If time permits, pamper your hair with nourishing masks. There are a lot of them now: for colored, brittle, dry hair, etc. Apply the product to the hair and leave for 15 minutes. Then rinse with warm water and apply conditioner. Hair ends are often prone to splitting, this problem is especially pronounced among fans of a hairdryer and ironing. You can prevent the problem by using a special oil.
Before washing your hair, you can do a pleasant and useful procedure. To do this, you should buy coconut oil, apply it to the entire length of the hair, put on a plastic cap and wrap your head with a towel. After half an hour, the product can be washed off with shampoo.
